ETA: Want to see cheating? Go look at the first penalty on Vantanen. Nyqvist garbs his stick and falls to the ice and draws call.

I don't know. He makes a play like that but he hasn't been garbage. You can see he has skills. JVR has been much better but I have seen worse for their sixth dman.

Seems lost to me out there, unsure of where to be at or go to, not sure what to do with the puck when he gets it either. Would rather see Dalhbeck than him right now. TVR has looked pretty good so far.

Love that everyone is sleeping on this team because Chet's never heard of Kuemper. Admittedly it's against a terrible Avs team that fluked their way to a division title last year, but this team is rising fast. Keep jocking Dallas because they added a couple castoffs though :lmao:

Not sure what team has been wearing the Caps sweaters the first 2 games but only 2 GA's(one really since the 2nd was a shootout loss) is quite a nice surprise.Barry Trotz for president!

Getting an easy win in Boston and abusing Rask(once again)is always sweet.

Amazing getting a shutout last night after so many bad giveaways in their own zone. Holtby was really good, except for being responsible for a couple of the giveaways himself.

Amazing getting a shutout last night after so many bad giveaways in their own zone. Holtby was really good, except for being responsible for a couple of the giveaways himself.

Faceoffs was another area they struggled in and it didn't cost them.I'm liking the new aggressive style Trotz has brought to the team and it's finally nice to see Mike Green down on the 3rd pairing where he should be to limit his minutes(to try and keep him healthy)and use him on ST's.

Team is hitting more,going to the net(cue Ovie's 2nd goal)more and skating all 3 zones better.Still tons of work to be done but I see progress so far so that's a huge plus for me.

Holtby did look rock solid last night and looks more comfortable in the nets and I don't really mind him moving the puck as often as he does since it does seem to help with better breakouts when he does make the correct read.

And while Orpik's contract sucks, it's awesome to finally have someone who will clear a crease regularly.

They did, not for me though. Thought the lights on the scaffolding was a bit much. Hate the music on the new opening and what they showed on TV didn't pay tribute to the Hawks of yesteryear, which I used to love. It was awesome to experience the first time and then to explain to my boys who those guys are/were. I did like the video on the ice though.
