NHL Off-Season thread:Down goes Kane! (2 Viewers)

AV is saying that no one is being rested, and if they're not playing, it's an injury issue.

I'm hoping a couple cuticle issues qualify as an injury.

Ryan Bourque called up to make his NHL debut for the Rags.

B's could clinch tonight with a win in reg./OT and a Rangers win. Won't be easy, but if the B's can't take care of business themselves they don't deserve it.

@YahooSportsNHL: #NHL: Points per game

Crosby 1.11

Seguin 1.08

Kane 1.05

Malkin 1.04

Tavares 1.04

Benn 1.02

Datsyuk 1.02

Voracek 1.01

Ovechkin 1.00

Wonder where Reilly Smith ranked

Guessing Chicago has the tiebreaker so winning out does nothing for them? Trying to stay the 7 seed isn't as attractive as injury free and rested players?

Edited to add: Chicago does not have the tiebreaker, according to playoff status.com the Wild still have a small chance to take the Hawks' current spot. Regardless, without home ice on the table I can totally see taking a game off against a team you may face in a week.

What the flip, Minnesota?
What happened?
Oh nothing, they're just benching their core tonight.
 WTF would they do that??
They clinched.
... a wildcard spot. They could knock the Hawks into the wildcard with two wins and two losses from the Hawks.

Doesn't make sense to me.
I guess since there is no chance of home ice they don't really care. I kind of get that point. I don't think there's any team Id rather play over another. Calgary I guess. I wish the Blues would draw Calgary.

Not sure how passing Chicago really helps the Wild. Resting Parise and Dubnyk makes sense to me.

They still can win tonight.

what are you guys talking about? game tonight is virtually meaningless. guys are banged up so they get a break. non story.

they're likely to dress Saturday as to not have too long of a layoff

Blues fans want the Wild to beat the Preds and are upset that Dubs, Parise, Vanek, and Nino are resting because they have a tiny chance of passing Chicago.

Well I understand why they're doing it. But I'm still going to irrationally hate them for it. Actually, it's not really a big deal. I don't care where we finish of it's 1 or 2.

not sure why the Wild would care about pressing for tonight. as much as I would love personally to see them finish in front of Chicago it's pretty meaningless. makes no sense.still dressing a very good lineup anyway. if they lose I blame Elliott

Omaha being favored in that game made no sense at all. I know people played up the Providence playing in Providence angle two weeks ago, but that team has plenty of NHL prospects.

Now thanks to Twitter, I'm waiting for the Bruins to miss playoffs, win lottery, draft McDavid, trade him in 3 years because he "doesn't fit the team concept"? That's how this plays out right?

If he ever wears the same clothes two days in a row, he's gone.
