Per the Chicago Tribune:

"Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer remains sidelined with a rib injury as the Bears returned to practice Monday.

He stretched with the team at the start of warmups but did not have a helmet as the Bears started individual drills. Hillenmeyer might have lost his starting spot at middle linebacker to Nick Roach, who has performed well since replacing Hillenmeyer at Seattle."

He seems to be hovering around 7 tackles per game in his last few outings and this was out of the SLB spot. What kind of value do you guys see from a move to MLB? Possible LB #2 numbers?

Bears | Four players miss practice Wednesday Wed Oct 14, 06:23 PMBrad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears DT Anthony Adams (toe), LB Hunter Hillenmeyer (ribs), DT Israel Idonije (knee) and RB Adrian N. Peterson (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.Our view: Nick Roach will start at MLB if Hillenmeyer can't go this week.
Footballguys don't agree it appears.

Jene, what are your thoughts on this guy dynasty-wise? He must not have jumped off the page in terms of measurables, hence being undrafted, but what's his upside?

Limited unless Urlacher doesn't play next season or he's impressive over the next few months to force the Bears to make a decision with their veteran players. He likely goes back to a base defensive only role at SLB (assuming the team doesn't re-sign Tinoisamoa for competition) in 2010.

Thanks! I thought he would be limited, but was hoping otherwise... I love your work on the roundtable, listen every week! :hophead:
