Nicks (1 Viewer)

Any word on the results of his MRI? Im sure I'm not the only Nicks owner holding out hope that he's healthy enough to face the NE D this week

I hate Victor Cruz.
I love Victor Cruz. Bet that zumba dance in the end zone really pisses off Nicks owners. It's funny how FBG's keep calling Cruz lucky to put up the stats he accumulates. That to his credit, he capitalizes on his opportunities. I get the Nicks love, but give Cruz his due.

When it was Nicks and Steve Smith, they had complimentary roles. Now with Manningham, Cruz and Nicks I feel like the typical Nicks routes and plays are split between them.

(TheHuddle) New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 2. Analysis: Paul Dottino of WFAN appeared on NFL Network and said he believes Nicks "will miss a week or two." Mario Manningham was also held out of practice Wednesday with an illness but is expected to return Thursday.

Pretty well respected, but I'd wait to see if this is opinion or fact. His small bio: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/personality/paul-dottino/

I asked the same question :lmao: but looked him up and he's a known NYG beat writer, plus NFL Network wouldn't put on a nobody. but this isn't the first time a reporter/analyst thought Nicks would miss time and he played. Waiting for Nicks to speak on it, if he says he goes, he goes.

Picked up Manningham off waivers last night (I know crazy!) and I already have Cruz. Looking forward to a shootout against the Patriots. With Bradshaw's foot issue, the G-Men are going to pass, pass, pass. I got my  ready.

(Rotoworld) Newsday's Tom Rock believes Hakeem Nicks will sit out Sunday's game after the receiver suggested Thursday that he will have to be "smart" about his hamstring injury.Analysis: "We have a long season ahead of us," Nicks said. "If I have to sit out one week and come back the next, I would rather do that than being out for a while ... I don't think it's anything crazy like it will be two, three or four weeks. It's a matter of me not wanting it to be there, so I have to be cautious about it and take care of it." Nicks is still "hoping to wake up and the pain will be gone," but the odds are stacked against him playing in Week 9.
Okay, Nicks sounding like he's not sure, so not looking good folks

best matchup of the year and hes out. still has a matchup vs phillys tough secondary and revis in wk 16. anyone looking to deal him?

gawd you guys are such whiners. nicks is having a fine year. if he gets the least bit hot, which you should damn well expect given where you drafted him, it will be a great year. hes on pace for 1300 and 7, its fine. its like last yr when jennings was meh for a few games and up popped hundred post threads #####ing about him.

Doubt he will play this weekend based on the multiple sources I have looked at (as of Fri, 11-4 @ 9:30-ish). Seek other options for this week - but hang onto the kid - he is a weapon.

The ability to separate fantasy feelings from actual NFL reality is awfully difficult lately round here. He is easily one of the most talented WRs we have seen come out of the draft in the last 3-4 years and has had monster games but suddenly he is a pile of manure because he happened to land on your FF team.

He was quoted saying that this season he wanted to finish all 16 games to prove to everyone and himself that he can last an entire season. That tells me he is a class act. Not to mention he doesn't cause any probems for his team or himself. This guy is a proven stud and I had to take him in the 2nd when he fell to me.

I have a list of players I tend to stay away from and Nicks isn't even close to being on it. If he misses this week and next but then returns for me for the playoffs I'm very very pleased at that point.

I agree but this is a FF website, nobody really cares about reality around here. What have you done for my team lately is the motto.

Pretty sure this is Calvin's 5th year, so if thats the case, I think Nicks is the best WR drafted in the last 4 years. Wallace is right there with him, Green/Julio/Maclin could all turn out better, but he is the best WR for my money. Wallace and him are actually more like 1a and 1b, with Wallace having the gamechanging speed but Nicks has vastly superior ballskills.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) will not practice today. WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) will.

Update: Nicks only did some running and cutting. Nicks said it was at full speed and the hamstring felt good.

Nicks expecting to do individual drills tomorrow. Did some running and cutting today. Trying to be smart with the hammy.

WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) did not take any team reps as Coughlin has hoped. Listed as did not practice.

New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) did some running on the side Wednesday, Nov. 9, but didn't take part in practice. The team is still optimistic that he can play in Week 10 versus the San Francisco Giants.

Huddle Up: Nicks was expected to participate in team drills today so that's a disappointment. But it's a long week, don't write him off yet.

It's too bad that they play in the NL, because maybe Nicks could be designated hitter even if he is not fully recovered from his hamstring injury. There's no way he will play in the outfield if he is bothered by a hamstring.

With so few late games this week. What are people doing with Nicks' game time decision at 4:15 PM? Not a ton of FA options. Is it best to just play safe and leave him on the bench?
