I guess Shawn Merriman was just an extra.
Agreed. Excellent movie, excellent commercial. This is the best football commercial of all time. The last 10 minutes from Last of the Mohicans is quite possibly the most intense 10 minutes from any film. Referencing that sequence in an intense football commercial was pure genius. This is one of the few commercials I can honestly say I enjoy watching.
No he doesn't. Merriman blasts someone, that guy fumbles, SJax picks it up and then the camera follows him on his trek downfield.Notice how SJax almost fumbles in his own commercial. Maybe this is the new jinx, ala Madden Curse.
as an SJAX owner i was pissed this commercial was the only point in the freaking day he GOT to an endzone...Dumb Commercial, everyone knows nobody scores a rushing TD against the Steelers...![]()
Meet Steelers punter Daniel Sepulveda:Why is a Steelers Kicker (#4...could be a QB I guess) trying to tackle Sjax on the goal line?
That REALLY bugged me.

Although usually Kensat is wrong this is that 1% of the time he actually is correct. He bobbles the ball a little in the second or third frame. No he doesn't. This is correct... at 35 on the youtube link - against the 'Falcons'... they're filming a commercial - SJax bobbles and they keep this one?... must be 'reality' TV...Although usually Kensat is wrong this is that 1% of the time he actually is correct. Check the :35 second on the video. It's kinda hard to see on the internet, but you can easily see it on the TV. Steven lets the ball slip out of his grasp and traps it against his thigh, but is able to recover. No he doesn't. By the time S. Jax extended his hand just tantalizingly to the edge of the goal line I was so hyped that I stood up to cheer and unexpectedly my pants tent flipped the kitchen table end over end in the process.
Now that's what I call a commercial.
