no love for r.moss ? (1 Viewer)

he had a lot of risk to begin with, and now he's got Brooks throwing to him.  Too scary for me in the 1st two rounds.
Brooks>>>Collins
not to me. Brooks is a bad QB, and always one step away from single-handedly losing a game and hurting a team. I see Brooks and Moss bickering at each other by week 3, with Brooks smiling thru the whole thing.
Since when does Randy Moss care if he wins or loses?
since never, although i'm not sure what that has to do with anything.edit: I'm not predicting fantasy death for Moss, I just don't see how putting Brooks with his attitude with a me-first guy like Moss is going to yield fantasy gold. In a ppr league, I'd probably look at Moss at the end of the 2nd, top of the 3rd round.

I know I will be targeting him this season as the Raiders offense is going to be tremendous when it comes to fantasy production.
Funny, lots of people said this same exact thing about kerry collins last year. Didn't happen.Im taking the wait and see approach with Moss. If I can get a steal for him as my WR2 then I would do it and hope for the best, but I think the guy has "turned the corner" but made a wrong turn. Still a good WR, but not the dominating player he was 3 years ago. If healthy I think he will place in the top 10 but somewhere around 6-8.
I think that's a very reasonable prediction. I would have personally said in that 7-9 range, and the star power he has inflates his fantasy value to that late first/early second round where some fool will undoubtedly take him.To Think that Moss will just be a limp noodle on the field is silly. He's still a very good receiver and will put up solid weekly production.

The problem becomes when you expect him to win 95% of your football games, or whatever that goofy statement was from earlier.

I think Chad Johnson might be one of the only football players in the NFL that actually cares a little bit about his fantasy football numbers.

You know.... I'd love to read a solid article on over/underrated trends for the past few relevant football seasons....

If anyone has a link to one or has written one himself, PM me thanks :)

Let's see what Oakland's offense looks like this year without a run first coach at the helm. Moss will return to his top 5 status this year.

Maybe you should look at the numbers Collins was putting up before Moss got hurt last year. A healthy Moss is any QB in the NFL's best friend. He's just that good. Here are the numbers:

1091 yds, 6 TDs, 0 Ints

or

273 yds, 1.5 TDs, 0 Ints per game

I interpreted that post as saying that Brooks would lose a game for the team, and Moss would get upset and start bickering with him. Why would Moss get upset if Brooks lost some games for Oakland? Why would he care if Brooks wasn't the most competitive of guys, since he is himself not the most competitive of guys? Why would he care of Brooks is laughing on the sideline at the end of losses, since he probably won't even BE on the sidelines, he'll be in the locker room already? As long as Brooks is getting Moss the ball, I don't think Moss will care... and Aaron Brooks has a long and demonstrated history of being able to get a WR the ball. It might not be a match made in heaven, but I have no reason to suspect that Moss and Brooks won't get along at least as well as Moss has with any of his other QBs.
