Especially sucks with waiver wire selections due tonight.
Seems to be less and less content around here everyday...

The shark pool doesn't get paid to post. Members content comes at a fee and should all be out on time every week without exception.yeah this is what I look for every week as well, makes the subscription fee worth the price. Seems like the FBG Staff have lives and are having less time to get things on the site. Weekly content seems to keep getting pushed later and later each day (what am I suppose to do at work without my up to date info?), I think staff members are on Vacation or maybe their wives have them home watching the kids.Seems like half the shark pool could devote more time with so many guys online through out the day
Question ... would the Lineup Dominator give the same results as the 250+? Their rankings?Wednesday, October 20th

Agreed, I thought the whole reason they went to that customizeable top 250 was so it could be out earlier. I know there were a lot of threads of guys who didn't like the new format. The only defense of it was that it was necessary so they could get it out on Tuesdays. So the content wasn't as good but it was a trade off since we got it a day earlier.Especially sucks with waiver wire selections due tonight. Seems to be less and less content around here everyday...
We used to have two lists - the customizable list and the Dodds list. They slapped Dodds name on the customizable list and gave us the one. And now we don't have the one list until Wed...Agreed, I thought the whole reason they went to that customizeable top 250 was so it could be out earlier. Why don't you move waivers to Wednesday night like a lot of leagues have done?Especially sucks with waiver wire selections due tonight. Seems to be less and less content around here everyday...
thx. going to espn to check it out.ESPN has them
I would rather have what we were promised to have when we were promised to have it.Would rather have useful information on Wednesday than ESPNesque schlocked together info on Tuesday.
There is a list available on ESPN. Not recommending you rely on it, but if you are into lists based on last weeks info, have at it.I would rather have what we were promised to have when we were promised to have it.Would rather have useful information on Wednesday than ESPNesque schlocked together info on Tuesday.

Yep, and two of their four experts do not have Calvin Johnson listed in the top 50 WRs. When you want something really bad, that's what you usually get...There is a list available on ESPN. That was for just last week's games. Those are the weekly matchup rankings. And Johnson wasn't expected to play until Sunday. Just old rankings there. The only actual forward looking list they have I think is done by Christopher Harris.Yep, and two of their four experts do not have Calvin Johnson listed in the top 50 WRs. Thanks, but no thanks. I have subscribed to this site over the years for several reasons, not the least of which include timeliness of information and attention to detail. Unfortunately, now it seems that one benefit (timeliness of information) is being sacrificed for another (detailed analysis). That's too bad. There is a list available on ESPN. Not having Calvin Johnson in last weeks top 50 WR in a list of last weeks weekly matchup rankings is not a great advertisement for their list as a tool. I agree. It should have been updated for all of the guys but it wasn't.Not having Calvin Johnson in last weeks top 50 WR in a list of last weeks weekly matchup rankings is not a great advertisement for their list as a tool. But at least they posted it on Tuesday so thats a good thing.![]()
It's supposed to be out by Tuesday afternoon - It's only 1:45 out West - patience - should be out soon I would guess. I think they have actually been better at hitting deadlines this year but maybe it's just me.Especially sucks with waiver wire selections due tonight. In my case it's cuz I'm not the commish. But I really do miss having this feature especially with bye-week fill-ins on the way. If it makes the staff feel more comfortable slap the tag "preliminary" on there.-QGWhy don't you move waivers to Wednesday night like a lot of leagues have done?Especially sucks with waiver wire selections due tonight. NO, ACTUALLY I did not. the link was not there when I started the thread. They JUST put it back up. See my post before yours - jumped the gun a little there, eh?Their idea of when Tuesday afternoon occurs may be a little off, but it still comes out today. It also comes out again tomorrow and again Thursday and again Friday and Sat and Sun...

Thanks redskins. That's nothing to do with complaining. The Top 250 is an important feature for our readers and we're doing all we can to have it ready Tuesday night. That's what people asked for and that's what we're trying to deliver. I'm not sure why it showed up as Wednesday content but it's something we want to have on Tuesday. We're also doing all we can to have the early projections on Tuesday night as well. That's something folks wanted and we've done a good job of delivering that. As far as "transparency" goes, these forums take care of that for us. If we do something that folks consider wrong, it gets discussed here. We try to be as open and transparent there as possible. Even when it's bad news sometimes. I found long ago that being up front with people is the way to run it. JHAHA. OP here. looks like the link is now back up!! Our complaining worked.Going forward - if FBG wants to make changes I would also suggest they communicate them. Transparency and communication are key. No more of this changing stuff and just hoping folks don't notice...
I am sure there are others in your league frustrated with the commish running waivers so early; tell it would be much better for all involeved to run them on Wednesday. If not this year, maybe he will fix this bug in your league for next year.In my case it's cuz I'm not the commish. The other factor that is huge in this is balancing the quality vs time thing. We could produce a killer waiver wire pickup list on Saturday. But it wouldn't have any value. We could produce week 8 cheatsheets today, and they'd be equally useless.I really worry about projections we put out on Tuesday. There are so many things that are just not known when you're trying to put something out that you're proud to say is ours. But we know people want them. It's a balance we're continuing to try and find there.J
I wouldn't mind the tag provisional on there - I know it's a moving target and it's very tough trying not to strike the right balance.Love that how this was changed while I was busy postingThe other factor that is huge in this is balancing the quality vs time thing. Sorry but when you did away with the "other/Dodds" going forward ranking, that was not communicated until after I made a similar post as this one. That said, I am glad you agree with the concept. Thanks redskins. That's nothing to do with complaining. Just take the list from Sunday and draw a line through the guys who were seriously injured and write provisional accross the top. Done.I wouldn't mind the tag provisional on there - I know it's a moving target and it's very tough trying not to strike the right balance.Love that how this was changed while I was busy postingThe other factor that is huge in this is balancing the quality vs time thing. The issue here was that they used to be provided on Tuesday and it appeared that this was no longer the case. Your separate issue is interesting and I will consider bringing it up in my league.Leagues that have their waivers on Tuesday should ask themselves why. Good injury info is still sketchy at this point as it's a day off for players and injured guys are still being evaluated, seeing specialists, etc (practice week begins Wed), and official info from the league doesn't come out until Wed. Is there a GOOD reason you have your waivers Tues, or just because? FBG isn't the problem. They follow the normal weekly cycle of th NFL pretty well. It's the leagues who have waivers a day too early that are askew.
Thats another bug. The free agency period should not be closed on Thursday other than as it directly relates to the two teams playing on Thursday.Well mileage varies a bit - the one thing that Tuesday waivers does allow is the potentialI am sure there are others in your league frustrated with the commish running waivers so early; tell it would be much better for all involeved to run them on Wednesday. ing of players away from those who might be slow on the trigger
I also think some of it stems to the situation later in the year when the Thursday night games crop up and the commish wanting to give the regular free agent process a little more room.-QG
