Had this trade go down in my redraft league today.

Trade was actually Portis/Alexander for FWP/Orlovsky.

Can anyone come up with a reasonable argument that this helps the previous Portis owner?

That's a question for the Portis owner, really. Not sure how they'd answer it, but anyone involved in a trade should be able to explain it.

They both have a pretty rough schedule down the stretch, though Willies is much better over the next couple of weeks. If Willie were not doubtful this week and that person needed to win now, then perhaps you could make the argument...but I still would not do it even then if I were the Portis owner.

why are people always whining about trades? Seriously how many times do people have to say that everyone evaluates players differently before people stop whining?

:lmao:  I realize people evaluate players differently. That's why I was hoping to get some arguments for for FWP in this case. I thought maybe I was missing something. The guy that traded portis away is currently tied with me for 1st in the league at 8-3 so I'm not complaining. More importantly if I can figure out what the motivating factor is, I could get a piece of that 8-3 roster on the cheap as well.
