Not that hard to get into a locked hotel room (1 Viewer)

I have 3 locks on my hotel room door. The keycard, the deadbolt, and the ball and slide thing. I have a balcony. It has a deadbolt plus it locks at the doorknob. As soon as i shut the door to the balcony i knew i ####ed up. Luckily even at this time of night, someone was outside to let the front desk know what an idiot I am. Took the guy 2 minutes to get in my room. Thank you sir, i gave him a c note but hell he could have took it all.

I met my wife in LA after a trip to Asia. I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and realized a little too late that I actually was in the hall and I was buck naked. Had to go to front desk to get a key. My wife's a very heavy sleeper.

In contrast, the battery died in the key card reader one time for me. It was 2am, and I had to wait about 45 minutes for them to find a handyman to drill a series of adjacent holes next to the reader in order to slide a screwdriver up and down enough to move the door handle on the inside. Couldn't believe it would be that difficult.

They busted it with some kind of crow bar, have a picture of it. Will post when i get a chance.

Checked into a nice hotel a few nights ago. I swiped my "key" over the electronic door lock and nothing happened. The maintenance crew tried their master key without success.

They wound up prying the door open with a crowbar.

I was quite uncomfortable while trying to drop a deuce with them replacing the strike plate and reprogramming the lock to my room.

I now know that power tools give me serious constipation.
