Notable CUTS - 2019 (1 Viewer)

Fumbled early and then got in Gruden's doghouse. Was never given a fair shake from then on. Hopefully he catches on somewhere else. So many good RBs on the free agent market now though.....so who knows.
I know, I was just making the point that being bad is what got him in the doghouse.  He is not good.  He will not be picked up by another team. If there was a prop bet for that I would be making it.

OK?

Just saying he has talent but is pretty far from translating that talent to on field success, sort of like Michael.

I guess we will see what the rest of the NFL thinks.
Not worth arguing about. There is a ton of RB talent out there so he might not get picked up. I still don't agree he's terrible.

So we just agree to disagree and go on our merry way. Lol have a wonderful day mittens.

Is there? I have the exact opposite take. There is a pile of heaping garbage out there. I am sure there are some gems I'm not aware of but right now I would not be making any moves if I were say Tampa or Houston.

To be clear I am very much on the "McCoy is done" train. Doesn't mean he won't get picked up and used.

He was in the doghouse the entire time. Not saying he's crazy good but he's better than casual fans think.
No way. Gruden loved Perine, up until the cut today. Perine is garbo, sorry. And the OL in HOU would be even worse than the one he failed behind in WAS.

McCoy looked great in the preseason game I watched.

I won a couple ships with him and Arian Foster a long time ago and have always loved his game but I thought he looked terrible last year, regardless of OL problems. I didn't see him in the preseason but if he does still have it will he have it in November? I think many coaches/GMs would say no.

I think he’s close to the end of the line and he did look slowed a bit last year (but it was a horrible situation) - but the week 3 preseason game he looked like he had some juice left. Was making his jump cuts and exploding out of them. I think he’d be ok in a committee arrangement. Tampa Bay should be looking at him at least because even slowed he’s better than Barber and Jones.

I agree with this. I saw some of McCoy last year and in the preseason and he still looked spry. It's hard to gain yardage when guys are a yard plus in the backfield when you're touching the ball.

I was thinking Tampa as well.

Yeah, what the hell. Even if he was that much of a disaster, you don’t cut a 3rd round pick you just drafted.

Unless there’s something more to the story, but still embarrassing.
I recall him being mocked top 15 prior to the combine where it was evident he didn't like to do anything.

The mistake was drafting him to begin with

That particular GM/front office didn't draft him, that's probably why. They switched GMs after the draft and free agency. They don't even really want Bell at that rate.

2019 3rd round pick Jachai Polite
That is BY FAR the biggest surprise. I can't imagine he's not instantly picked up.

Lauletta cut
He's really interesting. Daniel Jones has gotten the headlines, but Lauletta also looked quite a bit better than Eli too. He should catch on somewhere. Him and Kyle Sloter(can't believe the Vikes kept Mannion over him) look like very interesting prospects.

Alex Barnes, Josh Adams, McCoy are who I'm watching.....

Right - it was Douglas that cut him but even he should know to at least give the guy a year to disprove himself.

I figured you knew and agree with you, but apparently they really don't want the old FO's footprint on their team. I wouldn't be surprised -- and I'm wildly speculating -- if Bell didn't wind up somewhere in a year.

Agreed - Douglas never would have thrown  that much coin at Bell.

He was drafted by Mac, and there’s a new sheriff in town. Word is he’s been a disaster.

Cbs is listing that McNichols is cut, but not Barnes.  Thought Barnes was cut a few days ago...

They picking up somebody?

Who's been a disaster? The new sheriff/GM or Polite? I assume that latter but was sure by your wording.
Polite. He’s looked terrible in the preseason and word is he’s dumber than a bag of rocks and is always in the wrong place.

Polite. I can answer for Doc Oc because we all are thrilled with the new GM.

Thanks for clarifying, guys.

Speaking of clarifying....man, I’m on these boards every day and I have no clue who McNichols and Barnes are? Can we get teams and/or first names for some of these players, please? Googling now to find out myself, but just kindly requesting for future posts.

Jeremy McNichols and Alex Barnes.  Titans RBs.

Theres a guy named Howie Roseman in Philly who loves a project. That sounds like an instant Howie pick up right there. Talent wise a lot better then Shariff Miller their 4th round pick. Would've rather them taken a safety at that pick than Miller.
