NYJ @ MIAMI Field Conditions (1 Viewer)

After Duke and Miami played in heavy rains at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, there are mounting concerns about the condition of the field for Sunday's Jets-Dolphins game, per league sources.

The Hard Rock Stadium field was a mess on Saturday, and there are fears that it will not be much better for the NFL game.

"The field is horrendous," texted one league source at the stadium on Saturday. "It's a complete s---show."

Among the complaints are that the field doesn't drain and the grass is poor quality, per one source.

They were just talking about this on ESPN.  80% chance of more rain today.  Might be worth starting one of these Ds.

Should be a fun game at least.

O/U has dropped by 3 1/2  pts.  Now the third lowest total on the board and the Jets are projected to outscore only the Bills and Titans per Vegas odds.

According to the linked article, last years game was also played on a similarly bad field.  That game was won by MIA 31-28.  One FG and one rushing TD (QB sneak) in the game.  The rest were passing TDs, mostly on short passes.

Rushing yds were low with no RB going over 51 yds, though the Jets RBs had very strong ypc numbers.

Look at the water coming up on the players feet in yesterday’s college game, and more rain is expected today.

I have Jets D, dunno what this means with the conditions treacherous for both sides. Some of the biggest blowouts come in inclement weather since defenses can't react quickly.

Two very weak offenses playing in horrible conditions.

Naturally the score will be 38-35 or something like that.

I'm only seeing it reported as a 15% chance of more rain.  Not sure where ESPN got 80% from.
ESPN gets their weather reports from Chico's Discount Weather and Umbrella Emporium

In Miami Beach, the sky is blue with a few wispy clouds. But given the teams and field conditions, is anyone other than the DST startable?
