No one is untouchable - talk on radio is all Bronco coaching - my thoughts

They aren't as bad as this record due to Erik Johnson injury - that said they still suck. None of the forwards can find the net, Barrie can't find the net and they really can't score. Iginla is such a liability and he's done - that is why I'd think that Landeskog stays they still need wingers. But Landeskog doesn't even get to net. Beauchamin is trainwreck - just horrible turnover machine. I say trade Duchene try to find a young #2-#3-#4 D man and a draft pick maybe a 2nd-3rd. Tyson Jost comes next year and he'll take that spot. See if someone will take Beauchamin - maybe MTL for a draft pick or a 3rd liner. Then I'd go get Dineen and fire Bednar - he just doesn't have it. Going to be a while until this gets fixed.
The word on the Kings sites is that they are looking at moving Muzzin + for Landeskog.  Any talk of this from the Ave's side?

Caps playing 1 of NHL's top 4 teams for 4th time in 8 days.

Have beaten CBJ, Habs and Pens by combined 14-3 score since last Thursday (with a 1-0 win at Ottawa in there as well)

NBC to air Washington-Philly game at 1 p.m. Sunday to fill hole caused by NFL switching the Pittsburgh-KC game to 8 p.m. because of ice storm concerns in KC.

This is shaping up to be a great 3-day weekend

Great to see Martin St. Louis's number go to the rafters in TB. Also great to see his wife and 12-year-old tower over him at the ceremony.

I bet they move Duchene before Landeskog.  Besides a horrific defense the Avs have serious lack of depth outside the top two lines.  McKinnon, Landeskog, Duchene, & Rantanan are only legit top 6.  Grigs, Soda, Comeau, Iggy, and Borque are 3/4 liners.  Rest of the forwards/centers are not NHL worthy (hell Colborne started on the second line couple of games ago).  Beauch sucks and will be bought out, Erik is injured, Bigras is still injured??, and Barrie has shown he needs help.  Zads has done well, but needs experience.  The fact we are playing goloubef, Wiercioch, Gelinas, and Tyutin at 2/3 defensive pairing is just pathetic.

Sakic was on the radio two days ago and said McKinnon, Rats, and Jost are untouchble, and then today said we aren't moving a core piece just to make a trade.

'Avs need to trade Varly.  Pickard has shown he is ready and Martin may be better than both.

Next year roll out McKinnon, Landeskog, Duchene, Rats, Jost, Greer, Nieto, Compher, etc on offense and EJ, Zads, Barrie, Bigras, Meloche and Mironov on defense.

Dude seems like a good guy, but I have to wonder if Hakstol has lost the team with his seemingly random scratches.

Well except for VandeVelde Bellemare and MacDonsld. They're good to go

I don't understand how that's not goalie interference. I agreed with the call against shaw that brought back a goal. To me thats interference too. Accidental or not he dragged price about 3 feet.

Micaleti said it was bc Price was outside of the blue crease and he was the one who threw his leg out and initiated contact.

Crazy game so far. Raanta out and Henrik in looking shaky

Blues are just not a good team this year, but go in to San Jose and get their first shut out since probably October. Weird.

What does Joe Thornton have against us?

Wild with another nice 2-goal deficit comeback against the Blackhawks on the road in the second game in back-to-backs. Kane was a monster with 2 goals in the 3-2 loss. Toews had zero shots.

Wild finally move into first place outright even after this phenomenal run of 17-1-1 in the last 19. Shows how tough the Hawks are.

Still sick of NBCSN not showing SOG on-screen. Oh, but we get the Kane and Parise length of shift clock. So dumb. They already interviewed Parise before the game and he did nothing during the game. So who do they interview afterward? Of course Parise. Love Parise but spread the love Pierre!

Go Wild!

My offseason//plan for Avs:

Keep core.  Sign Karl Alzner for $6M @ 4 years (have $20M in cap space).  Good strong defenseman to party with Barrie.

Trade Varly for young defenseman.

Draft Patrick, Liljegren, or Hischier

Get lucky and have Mironov come over.

Get rid of all dead weight (Iggy, Mitchell, Beach, etc) and expiring contracts at TDL for picks/etc.  Bring up Greer/Comper/Bigras/Siemans/etc to get NHL experience at season end.

Next year line up:

Landy - Mack - Rants

Jost - Patrick - Dutchy

Greer - Soda - Grigs

Comeau- Comper - Low end FA

Zads - EJ

Barrie - Alzner

Bigras - Siemens/Mironov
