The rest of the conference is shaking in their boots.  Habs now have about 7 5-6 Dmen and 8-9 3rd/4th line forwards. 

But we have the "best goalie on the planet" ™

 
Yzerman same return on the flip.  dumped Filppula at a complete wash.  amazing.  waiting to hear he sold Callahan to the KHL or something too

Gains an expansion protection spot too along with the salary dump. Genius. 

Flyers gain another player we'll complain that doesn't score enough. Yay.

And Streit gets to win a cup... in Pittsburgh. :X

I think at this point you have to wonder how many cups the Hawks would have if they had the magic cap management of Yzerman.  maybe all of them?

Stan should probably be fired when you really think about it

 
Big day for the B's...no short-sighted trades...between the post-Claude bump and not dealing any of the youngsters they actually have a little momentum...

Don't forget Hextall extended PEB and Neuvirth! Yay 2 more years of the worst scoring forward and a sub .900 goalie!

I thought it was moving him to the wing with Toews. But stick him between Kane and Panarin in a pinch and he's just as effective.

Exciting time to be alive!!! What a bunch of mediocrity, if that. I wonder if this same crap keeps up how much longer the college coach lasts next season?

He's shown flashes all year, moved him up to Toews line with Hartman and he fit well. Slides in to center the Kane line when Anisimov goes down and he fit in really well there too. But I think he was a main reason that the Pens outshot the Hawks 18-5 when the Kane line was on the ice. Anisimov is much better defensively.

Oh and every time I see him on the ice I am wondering WTF is a D man is so deep in the O zone, then oh wait it's Schmaltz.
