They finally realized their C depth isn't as good as they thought it would be. Couturier is at best a 3C checking center, doesn't have the offense to be a 2C. Schenn is "better" on the wing so he's not an ideal C either. I guess they're using Filpulla as a one year bridge to the young kids waiting in the pipeline. 

 
Hakstol doesn't want to change PK because that's the only reason he keeps VandeVelde and PEB in the lineup.

@BroadStBull: Hakstol said he didn't think the PK needed any personnel changes. It has allowed 7 goals in last 15 PPs _ and killed team. #Flyers

even Brett Connolly is finally doing something (for the Caps). Not sure how much Stevie had to do with drafting him since he had only been on the job a month or so.

:thumbup:  That was Mike Harrington saying that not me :oldunsure: ... In any case, Matthews is ahead of Eichel in terms of their rookie seasons but Eichel has been one of the best players in the league for about two full months now.

Freaking Marchessault has 20 goals for the panthers. Y didn't draft him, but he did scoop him off Columbus.

Rangers can't be the home team for any game played outside of MSG or they would forfeit a massive tax break the city gives them.

I went to one of the Stadium Series games. Had great seats right at center ice, but high up. Great experience but the one time was enough for me. It was about 15 degrees with a wind chill approaching zero that day.

 
I went to the college games at Fenway this year and it was miserable. Temps in the teens and windy. Terrible view of the ice. Just not interesting any more.
