That was such a roller coaster of emotions last night. It was right there. Still feel sick to my stomach. :XThank baby santa jesus the Rangers are more resilient than I am.
I dont have it in me to regroup. I hope the Rangers do.The rotation for the WS has been set forever. It is 2 games one park, 3 games the other park and then 2 games back in the first park. And then was it 8 years ago Bud Selig decided that whatever league won the All Star game would get the extra game. Before that, it alternated who had the extra gameI don't pay attention to baseball, but I have watched the WS. I know some people are complaining about the home field being all screwed up this year. Can someone explain why the last two games should be played in Arlington instead of St Louis? Confused about that. thx

Did you think they overcompensated next inning when Berkman's single tied it? I think with 2 outs he scores anyway but that was strange to me playing THAT deep with 2 outs. There was no chance on even a stumble to throw him out.Yeah, I thought that was it. I guess maybe the groin injury was slowing him down, because that looked pretty bad. Flashbacks to Vlad trying to play RF in San Francisco last year. Cruz also probably should have been playing a little deeper. Can't let anything get over your head there. It was very well hit though.I tell ya what, after seeing the replay now numerous times, how did Cruz not catch Freese's hit in the 9th? He catches that, it's over. And he should have. Like John Kruk said, if he had to put a hole in the outfield wall, you make the catch and do it, but how do you slow up like that? Not quite Buckner-esque, but still pretty bad.
Can we play in the 4-team division with Oakland and Seattle instead? TIA.96 wins > 90 winsI don't pay attention to baseball, but I have watched the WS. Possibly. It's kind of a blur tbh.Did you think they overcompensated next inning when Berkman's single tied it? Cruz looks a little awkward out there at times, but he has made some nice catches. His arm is scary-good.Unless they already knew Cruz was slowed by the groin, I can't see them replacing any of the OFs with Chavez. Murphy-Hamilton-Cruz is normally pretty solid. And I'd ask stu and other ranger fans, is Cruz typically an adventure? I'd remembered him being an average defender with a plus arm. But I'm wondering, what happened to endy Chavez. I TiVoed through the replay and saw him bat in the 9th. Did his glove not make it in with a 2 run lead? Should it have? For somebody?
That was lame when you posted it earlier. Still lame now.Can we play in the 4-team division with Oakland and Seattle instead? You're really still on this? You know having fewer teams in the division means they have fewer division games, right? Both divisions have two good teams. Why does having more bad teams somehow make the NL Central more difficult? Can we play in the 4-team division with Oakland and Seattle instead? In 57 division games, the Rangers had a .702 winning percentage against division opponents. Those opponents combined for a .467 winning percentage. In 79 division games, the Cardinals had a .557 winning percentage against division opponents. Those opponents combined for a .409 winning percentage.I hate it when a team gets an advantage just because one of its players is better than the players for the other team.Ron Washington is too much of a gentleman to ##### and moan about it, but the Rangers were done a huge disservice when yesterday's game was postponed due to a few raindrops which never came. Now, Carpenter is in play for game 7 and he has no right to be.
And put another way, the AL West averaged 80.75 wins per team. The NL Central averaged 77.33 wins per team. So clearly the Cards winning the NL Central....oh wait. You're really still on this? You know having fewer teams in the division means they have fewer division games, right? Both divisions have two good teams. Even if Selig didn't do the All-Star Game winner gets home field advantage, game 7 would have been in the NL park anyway under the previous rules.Well at least the Cards earned this game 7 with their All-Star game win.
Not nearly as lame as you crying about W-L record for two completely different leagues. Be mad about the ASG if you want, but W-L record still wasn't the home-field decision point before that. You know that. That was lame when you posted it earlier. Still lame now.Can we play in the 4-team division with Oakland and Seattle instead? When it comes to winning the division, it's of course better to have fewer teams, all else being equal. But he was talking about total wins, which doesn't have anything to do with number of teams in a division. So you would prefer being in a 12 team division or a two team division? You're really still on this? Meh, no reason to take jabs at them today, though, especially after that brutal loss last night. If it were Cubs or Red Sox fans, then I'd say pile on, but Rangers fans have been pretty cool across the board from what I've seen in this World Series, so no need to be a #### to them today.Ranger fanboys are pretty catty today. Meeeeee-ow!Lighten up ladies, surely it isn't the first time someone took a jab at the ridiculous alignment. It's not your fault, don't take it personal.
I don't think any Ranger fans are doing that. Might have missed it though.First six games would be three home games each either way. Wouldn't make any sense to complain about that.I feel the pain of Rangers fans this morning, and part of me is rooting for their team tonight just because last night must have been so agonizing. But taking it out on the silly WS home field rule is the wrong target.

My god this forum sucks
When was the last time a game was postponed because the weather was too nice? Smells fishy to me.I hate it when a team gets an advantage just because one of its players is better than the players for the other team.Ron Washington is too much of a gentleman to ##### and moan about it, but the Rangers were done a huge disservice when yesterday's game was postponed due to a few raindrops which never came. Yeah, I see a few gripes in here about how it's not fair that tonight's game is in St. Louis, but I guess it's not too much. Hope you get through the day (and the night) OK, man. I know you said you're not a Cowboys fan- hopefully you're a Mavs fan, as I would think that could maybe help ease the pain of a loss like last night's, although obviously a win tonight would more than do the trick too. Plus most baseball media guys I like and respect think the Rangers are gonna be among the elite for a long long time, so you got that going for you, which is nice.I don't think any Ranger fans are doing that. He's off the roster for the game tonight. Replaced by Adron Chambers.GAMER.I wonder if Matt Holliday will play tomorrow? Guy is probably in intensive care right now getting a blood transfusion. Hope he makes it.
I'm a very casual Mavs fan, but a huge Packers fan (grew up in WI)... so this has been an amazing sports year.Yeah, I see a few gripes in here about how it's not fair that tonight's game is in St. Louis, but I guess it's not too much. Rangers blew five leads last night. Ugh.Nevermind..sorry. Good luck and stuff.Ranger fanboys are pretty catty today. Meeeeee-ow!

Fair enough. Most of the Rangers fans I met last night were reasonable enough. As for the Rangers guys around here, I think Bogart knows I'm kidding. Not sure I can say the same about Stu. Rangers are clearly a tough-minded team. I don't expect anything less than what we've seen so far this series. The Rangers will rebound tonight. They may or may not win, but I am not buying the thinking that some have that last night buried the Rangers. You don't get to Game 7 of the World Series by giving up when the going gets tough. Also, it was nice to see how happy and relaxed the Cardinals still looked last night, even when things looked bleakest. In both the bottom of the 9th and 10th innings, when they were on the verge of losing, they showed the part of the dugout where Carpenter and some others were, and every time they were smiling and talking. That was great to see. Instead of looking all glum and sad like all hope was lost, they were still upbeat and relaxed and knowing that it's not over till it's over. Game 7 tonight could very well be anti-climatic after last night, but I don't think it will be.
