Adam Oates is upset with Hertyl's goal, saying he disrespected the league and it was a good idea by the Sharks that he didn't play the rest of the game.

What a doosh.

Sharks did the smart thing by sitting him after that goal because you can bet your ### the Rangers would come after him.

I just saw it as the kid having fun but I get the old school thinking on this as well.

I think the Rangers D disrespected the game by letting him skate in untouched. They look like they gave up. I think Biron disrespected the game by not bothering to poke check the puck as Hertl was that close in and still puck handling.

Thornton had a completely different thought on it:

Joe Thornton would unzip his pants if he scored four goals

Hearing a question to Marleau about Hertl and whether he was showboating, Thornton said:

Shut up, have you ever played the game?

.

When the press turned his way, he then added:

Id have my c*ck out if I scored four goals. Id have my c*ck out, stroking it.

OK, then.

:goodposting:

lol at a professional sports team complaining about being scored on too spectacularly. I can't think of a more inane complaint one could make.

Anyone see what Lucic did to get a misconduct?
He went Cro-Magnon - during a scrum in front of net he went to be third man on the scrum - so Landeskog grabbed him to hold him off and he went off - turned dropped his gloves and then tried to bait Landeskog into fight. He wasn't getting any satisfaction as they jawed for a few minutes so he pushed/punched him one more time and earned the 10.

Patrick Roy still owns the Bruins

J.S. Giguire with an awesome shutout.

So is this Sabres team going to be historically bad? Not 74-75 Caps bad, but like worst in team history bad?

I'm scared of what will happen if Thornton has a four goal game...

Torts was not the problem in NY. Good luck with AV/Arniel.....

Too early to say they'll suck, but two straight blowouts says a lot about a team at any point of the season.

Thornton's a mental midget. Once a loser, always a loser. He's never won anything and probably wont. He'll retire as the biggest waste of talent ever.

This guy knows things. Jackie Boy is a Canucks fan, so he's a world class expert on never winning anything.

Wild completely controlled the Jets last night, never were threatened, yet have to eek out a 2-1 win. I have to think the goals start falling because outside of about 20 min total in the first 4 games, they've been in complete control of every game at 5on5 but can't bury anyone. they look great defensively outside of the PK and two 5on3 goals the past two games. really like the way they are playing, hopefully getting the win will loosen the grips on the sticks a bit.

Granlund looked really good last night, should have had a handful of assists. the creativity really starting to show with him, excellent vision. looks like he might take the next step sooner than later, seizing the opportunity with Coyle out.

Rangers players no longer safe plus-minus bets for hockey pools.

I don't think so. They are bad but not this bad. Mostly just really young with no offensive depth.
For modern era, yes, they will be that bad.
They are going to be the worst team in the modern era?
They won't be a playoff team, but they won't be the worst team in the modern era, they likely won't even be the worst team in the league this season.

In all full seasons since the lockout, here were the records of the league's worst teams:

2011-2012: Columbus (29-46-7, 65pts, .396 Pts%)

2010-2011: Edmonton (25-45-12, 62pts, .378 Pts%)

2009-2010: Edmonton (27-47-8, 62pts, .378 Pts%)

2008-2009: NY Islanders (26-47-9, 61pts, .372 Pts%)

2007-2008: Tampa Bay (31-42-9, 71pts, .433 Pts%)

2006-2007: Philadelphia (22-48-12, 56pts, .341 Pts%)

2005-2006: St Louis (21-46-15, 57pts, .348 Pts%)

This is a really limited definition of "modern era" but it's the shootout era anyway, and I'll take bets with anyone who thinks the Sabres will finish with fewer than 56 points in the season.

Caps called up Nate Schmidt. interested to see how he does at this level, was awesome in college. high offensive potential.

He can't be any worse than what they have right now.

Erskine has just been terrible and the Carlson turnover(his partner)last night was brutal that led to the GWG.

Urbom looked decent last night in his first game and could be the guy to take over beside Carlson once he gets used to the pairing.

They send Carrick down.

He just needs to add more size and strength to be able to compete at this level

ETA:Just saw it was Orlov as to be the one to call up to replace Erskine(injured now)but he has pink eye.

Sabres might not even be the worst team in the state of New York right now.

Good buy lows IMO. AV isn't that bad, although I was never a huge fan. That team still has talent and should at least be average.
