Joe Mauer, the most popular Twin, is having twins. A club source confirmed Wednesday that the recently married Mauer and his wife, Maddie, are expecting a double baby bundle.Maybe name them Minnie and Paul :excited:

Scouts are spreading the word that Justin Morneau looks fantastic and might be ready to produce a big season. Trade bait baby

The Twinns will invite the following nonroster players to spring training: Righthanders Bryan Augenstein, Nick Blackburn, Deolis Guerra, Alex Meyer, Lester Oliveros and Anthony Slama; outfielders Brandon Boggs and Clete Thomas; infielders Jeff Clement, Chris Colabello, Ray Olmedo and Mark Sobolewski; and catchers Kyle Knudson, Danny Lehmann and Dan Rohlfing.Nick Blackburn????????????????????????????
why not, they're on the hook to him for $5M anyway

Asked Sunday if he had given up on adding Thome to his bench, Gardenhire said, "Not yet. Still fighting that one."Why Gardy Why, Thome is 42, time to rebuild

Hicks led off the bottom of the first today by plunking a palm tree beyond the right field fence, his second home run of the spring. Hicks, field, added a walk and a single, scoring two runs. Starting to warm up to this hicks dude.

Always tough to warm up to a first round pick and top prospect.

Not much to be excited about the twins this year, maybe Hicks will be a light at the end of the tunnel

Twins center field hopeful Aaron Hicks hit three home runs in his first four at-bats in Wednesday's exhibition game against the Phillies, including a leadoff homer to left against Cliff Lee. Move over miggy of the kittens we got a new mvp in town :excited:

Is Gopher one of these guys that lives in Hudson and cherry picks his teams?
I use to live in St Paul, but moved to WI, for love and marriage and forced to convert to Packers, but still have a soft spot for the Twins.

I source is reporting that Twin's fan Wooderson has learned today that he and his wife are expecting twins. Just in time for the postseason push. :)A great Twin and a great Twin fan having twins.

congrats to the Wooderson family, a true Twins fan having Twins it must a sign

Eduardo Escobar will replace Nick Punto as Ron Gardenhire's all-time favorite player. He's so versatile to the point of being the emergency catcher.

Veteran left-hander Rafael Perez threw 20 pitches off a mound Wednesday, March 20, for the first time since suffering a setback with his ailing shoulder early in camp. Good news here :banned:

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Minnesota Twins have put left-hander Scott Diamond on the 15-day disabled list as he continues his recovery from arthroscopic surgery on his pitching elbow.

Diamond is projected as one of the team's top starters this season after going 12-9 with a 3.54 ERA last year.

The Twins also announced right-hander Anthony Swarzak was put on the 15-day list as he recovers from rib fractures. Swarzak was hurt in January while wrestling with teammates at a fan festival.

No self-respecting Minnesota sports fan is this optimistic about anything. This team is going to be terrible. Might as well level with yourself.

After reading the Salary for the Twins Roster on starting day being $80 Million, then reading the comments on the sites leaves me with a :whoosh: feeling.

In one breath the people are in a  that the Twins can never be competitive as long as they continue to go cheap..

Then in the next breath they are blaming Gardenhire for the crappy seasons..

WTF?? You can't blame the non-competitiveness on not paying for talent, and then turn around and blame it on the Manager..

A manager can only mange those players he is given.. If you really believe they could find a manager out there that could turn this low balled team into a full fledged competitor you are :loco:

End

IF Mauer, Morenau and Willingham stay mostly healthy I'm going with no more than 85 losses.. That power lineup should keep us competitive regardless of the spaghetti arm pitchers we throw out there.

Now I shall return to reality ;)

With a lineup like that you'd think the pitching would be better.

I think its clear the Twins will move Justin Morneau this year. He is a free agent in 2014 and I dont see the Twins paying him beyond 2013. Pitching is the obvious wild card for the Twins. No way they compete, but Im hoping they can steer clear of 100 losses. They have a very good everyday lineup, but the pitching is suspect to say the least. If I had to guess, I'd put them at 70-75 wins.
