My bad...didn't watch that part on the replay after the announcer originally said 'there's a goal'.

They also don't run 6+ miles in a game. They also get subbed in and play ~30 game minutes. NFL'ers would whine much more if they played a soccer game.

I think American soccer fans are self-loathing. We don't mind if Ruud or Ballack have strong opinions. But if Alexi or Twellman (and Taylor isn't even that opinionated) have strong opinions, we hate him.

Just saying that they get a little kick on the knee or foot and you'd think they were shot. Obviously they run more. I'm not talking about stamina here.

I couldnt imagine LVG pulling that move again, the surprise and wonder is gone. Plus saving a sub for a keeper in your 2nd straight ot game probably isnt the best option.
