As a USA "fan" can someone tell me why I should dislike Mexico? How can I dislike a team coached by Chris Farley?
They have a history of insensitive chants and poor treatment of the US players and fans. Longtime US rival. "Big brother" in North American soccer for years and they've struggled to come to terms with the fact that the US has equaled or arguably surpassed them. Their fans are generally #######s :oldunsure:

Didn't realize how bad a matchup Mexico would be for the Dutch. They can counter against Mexico but Mexico doesn't hold up the attack like Chile/Spain did so Netherlands D is a bit exposed.

Can't help but be happy for Mexico.
I'm pulling for them, I'll say it. I haven't seen a Mexico team play this well (over the 4 games) in years. I hate them all through qualifying and generally hope they lose every game by 5 goals, but they're just fun to watch right now. This is as complete a 180 as you can get from their utterly lifeless Hex performance. It's amazing.
#### them, they're the north American version of Greece

their fans chanted "Osama!" and also threw bags of piss and vomit at Landon Donovan

Thanks. That's enough for me. #### Mexico.

I'm surprised there weren't fireworks in my neighborhood after their goal. :oldunsure:
And their players are #######. Everything that Americans new to the sport dislike and would like to see changed the Mexican players make an art out of.

Yeah but if they lose, the US won't be able to beat them in the semis. I'm looking forward to that one. Dos a Cero!!

For those who didn't follow qualification, this really is a monumental turnaround for Mexico. They were horrible during qualifying and should've finished in FIFTH behind Panama and missed the World Cup entirely, save a last gasp goal by the US against Panama to sneak Mexico through. At the time it was a national crisis in Mexico. They hired and fired four National team coaches in a matter of months. They couldn't score and couldn't defend.

Probably one of the most incredible scenes I witnessed was listening to the Mexico announcers lash out against the Mexican team after the US goal put them through. Listen to the link below (push CC to read the English subtitles). One of the most bizarre combinations of ecstasy and scathing anger I've ever heard

That was GOLD

You guys are so sensitive about the Mexican fans. Celebrate their passion, don't hate.
yes let me celebrate a 10 y/o giving me the bird in his Mexico jersey as I walk into the stadium in Phoenix.
Did you return it?Are they classy? No. Do they have passion? Boundless, and that should be celebrated.

Face it, we would all love to have the fan support for the US team that Mexicans site to el tri.

lol no. Was too busy telling my wife that I told you so that the environment was going to be hostile while she kept asking where are his parents? I told her probably the two pointing and laughing at us lol.

See, this just pisses me off more that the US didn't throw the game to Panama.
See that's just bitter, bro.
Sure, if bitter is watching Mexico as probably the favorites to make the semis assuming they hold on here while the US has Argentina staring them in the face if they get by Belgium.

I don't know who you are a fan of but this is like the Red Sox beating the Rays in a meaningless game to let the Yankees make the playoffs than watching the Yankees go further than you in the playoffs.
