****Official 2015 Chicago Bears Offseason Thread **** (1 Viewer)

Jeremiah Ratliff left the #Bears locker room on crutches and in a walking boot (left ankle). John Fox said there was no break.

Bummer for him. Doesn't look good

How's the Quizz look? Same old disappointing guy or potential if Forte goes down?
not fair evaluation, but he has looked good at times. But too many times it has been against the other teams #2.

How many RB's have the Bears carried on their roster in the past? Four? Could Carey be the odd man out?

Jennings carries $6.65 M in dead money - $4.4M guaranteed salary and $2.25 in remaining signing bonus.

Makes absolutely no sense

Yea we can't get rid of Riley Cooper on our team because of $4mil in dead money and your team is cutting CBs that you need and eating money.

#Bears waive Al Louis-Jean, Kevin Greene, Cameron Jefferson, Jeremy Kelley, Rick Lovato, Levi Norwood, Olsen Pierre and Chris Pantale.

i dont get the jennings cut....

the only thing i really took away from last night's game was mills nor leno should be starting RT's. both were abysmal

Jennings cut is moronic. Saved nothing by cutting him.
Agree. Impossible to rationalize this move.
Did you guys not follow camp and preseason? Jennings was BAD. The other teams consistently picked on him. Would you rather keep a bad player and play them because of $$$. This move was simple, he's not good anymore.

huh. Did you actually watch any yourself? Which cbs played good? Other teams picked on him consistently in preseason? Not sure what that means. The whole defense was bad, including the cbs. Name the cbs on that roster better than him besides Fuller. They were all terrible.

And that's before the knee and initial dui (turned into reckless driving)

Says the guy that said "can't watch the game" "jennings 6th on the depth chart, probably means he's getting released" (jennings gets released) "pace is an idiot" "cutting jennings makes no sense" at some point try to stay rational son.

Yes I watch the games, jennings hasn't looked good in awhile. This preseason and camp, he's terrible snd in 2014. We couldn't even see Alan ball because the other qb threw at jennings so much.

Fox said "we liked other guys better"

But apparently we should listen to someone that doesn't watch the games. Ok

It's called a replay. They actually do show preseason games later. Guess you weren't aware. You can cut and paste well. You're still using the rationalization that we didn't get to see Ball much because they were only throwing at Jennings all preseason? I'm outta this one.

Yeah, because tight end is the problem...

According to PFT Bears trade a 2017 6th round pick for a 19th tight end. OK, maybe the 4th or 5th on the roster, not sure how many we have on there right now. May not be a bad player, just don't know why we'd spend any draft pick on someone that likely wasn't good enough to make the Texans roster. While our back-ups aren't the greatest, I don't see how he's much, if any better than them.

Simply put, they didn't want to risk it...

@JaysonBraddock: Khari has surely turned some heads around league evaluators & Texans knew he probably wouldn't pass thru waivers. Get a 6th back for UDFA.

@JaysonBraddock: Khari has made highlight catches in practices & games. Growing more as a blocker. That said, they weren't carrying 4 TEs.

@JaysonBraddock: Khari Lee has developed at such a rapid pace. Really took coaching from Texans staff & not the same guy from a few months back.

@AaronWilson_NFL: Bears are excited about Khari Lee, per source, team wanted an in-line blocker, plus he's a solid receiver in red-zone work.

From Durkin and Silva

Pass D isn't much better, @evansilva. Fuller hasn't progressed, Ball as No.2 and McManis in the slot = not good https://t.co/Hq22PeeMAI

You'd struggle to find worse Run D personnel than what #Bears will trot out to open season. They get Lacy Wk 1, Arizona Wk 2, Lynch in Wk 3.

I asked earlier whether the Bears should try to get Glennon from TB. If RGIII gets released, which is possible, should the Bears consider brining him in?

Saw this morning that Bears are one of the teams that said they have some interest in RGIII if he is available. To me this would be one of the worst signings ever. I'd rather have Fales starting for the Bears.

I'd so no, they are both more mediocre QB's with their own problems. Our O-line looks like it may be pretty bad and another mediocre QB can't fix that. If we were ready to win and Jay was our main problem, sure, bring in some competition and let's see what happens. We aren't ready to win, and right now, while fans may dislike him extensively, QB is probably 3rd or 4th on our list of major problems.
