Notre Dame exposed, again...polls/rankings are a joke.
They're undefeated. Where do you expect them to be ranked? Oregon st is undefeated and ranked 8th and ND has played a tougher schedule. Oregon St hasn't beaten a team that's currently ranked. They may or may not beat OK next week, but so what? They're ranked where they should be ranked based upon their record and who've they've beaten up until this point.

Congrats to my boys on win # 900 and beating little brother. All seems right with the world again. They can officially put RR behind them and move on. To my question of the day...what is everyone's beef with ND? Is the SEC the only place a team can have a very good defense and a crap offense and be considered "great" or "championship" material? I'm far from a ND apologist. I'd like to see them lose every game in hopes that Kelly's head explode, but I have to give credit where it's due.

Quality defense here in the Texas Baylor game. Had a four year letterman on the offensive line for Baylor in the 80s at our tailgate. That mother####er could eat.

It seems every time I flip away from FSU vs Mia to catch a play of Bama vs Tenn, Bama is scoring again. I think I'll do the Vols a favor and stop checking in.

They just showed the Alabama schedule on the screen. That has to be the sorriest schedule for a #1 ranked team 7 weeks into the season.

So, does KState jump Oregon this week?
Why? Oregon demolished a pretty good ASU team.
Because KState has demolished a much better WVU team, has a huge advantage in the computer rankings, also blasted OU on the road and has a far more impressive résumé to date. Voters are the only thing favoring Oregon right now and they may have finally taken notice tonight. It won't take many voters moving them up for them to pass Oregon.

I haven't been seriously following CFB as long as some of you folks, but in the past 8 years or so, I can't remember a single time actually seeing Duke play on TV here.

Not singling you out here. It's been said several times by others, but I need a reminder as to why we think it's a "pretty good" ASU team. They lost to Missouri after all (sorry Missouri fans)
Ok, they're not. Some how they're ranked in the coaches poll, but they haven't been a IA school with a winning record and like you said, they lost to Missouri.

In that case, they should jump Alabama as well b/c their schedule has just been pathetic.

No, Bama has a higher computer ranking than KState right now. Oregon's is pathetically low for a top 5 team though, bellow .800. Perhaps KState will pass Bama in the computers this week but it will not be by much if they do. Nowhere close to the same situation.

This is why I'm wondering if the computers will push Florida past Bama this week. A couple of them already had UF #1 last week. Man would this be an awesome year for a playoff.

Oh, I gotcha. i don't know how any of that computer mumbo jumbo works. Is that all based on SoS? ND has a higher ranking than Alabama and I don't see ND hanging with those guys.

Even if Florida got to 100% in the computer rankings, they'd still be a good ways behind it seems b/c Alabama is the clear #1 in the human polls and it appears the BCS ranking is the average of the 2 human polls and the computer ranking percentage. Am I reading that correct?

You're probably right. Florida isn't jumping Bama in either human poll.

Why are coaches so dumb? Instead of going for a fourth and less than 1, the Noles attempt a 50-yard field goal. Jesus. These guys get paid millions to make these idiotic decisions.

I mean, the odds of getting the first have to be around 85-90%. Making a field goal from there has to be around 50. ####ing crazy.
