Because it was inaccurate or untrue? Oregon has had dudes do stuff that I as a fan sure couldn't or wouldn't defend (Bongterrio, Masoli, Blount to name a few). And, as a fan, it has been embarrassing at times to have those kids involved with the program. But don't be that guy who is defensive just because you have a championship on the back of a player who has, at best, shown legendary immaturity and, at worst....well, I'll take the high road there.

 
Golson to LSU may be best for both parties. I love the kid and would love him to stay and play next year at ND, but Kelly and he just don't seem to be on the same page. Kelly has been best (last 4 games of 2010, 2012, 2015 Music City Bowl) with a QB that won't allow him to fling it all over the yard like he trusts Everett to do.

Do I think he transfers? No. I wouldn't blame him though.

 
I can't decide if I should go to the College Football Championship.

Lowest ticket prices I've seen are about $550 per ticket and that is to sit in the rafters. If I gave a half of a #### about either team, I think I would go. But since I don't care about either team, the only reason I would be going would be to go the first ever playoff championship. Not sure that is worth $550.

What would you guys do?

Wait outside until kickoff and then buy a good seat for face or less from a scalper.

I doubt there are many who care about CFB more than me. I can't imagine paying 600 to see this game? It's a great matchup but that's too much for nosebleed. CFB to me is games played at legendary stadiums on campus with bitter alums and tailgating by the quad and bands and all the rest.

I would pay 600 to see a great college game on campus no questions.

I grew up in Ohio and I'm an Ohio State fan. I live in Dallas so there's no travel expense and I'm still not paying what it would cost to go to the game. In my opinion, football is only fun watching in person if I have good seats, and I'm definitely not paying what it would cost for good seats.

I'd rather watch the game at home on my big screen TV with beer that doesn't cost $8.

Also, if the Buckeyes lose I can cry gracefully in the comfort of my own home. ;)

Got lower level tickets from Oregon, money in the bank on the sales. Have uppers coming from OSU, won't know where they are until this afternoon, gonna suck wind on them. Stadium is too big. Plus the cost on the things is $470 each. They've priced themselves out of the market. I was thinking I was sold out yesterday until the confirms from OSU on those 12. Took the wind out of my sails I had forgotten I ordered those.

I tried that for the Oregon v Auburn game with $1,500 in my pocket, but the scalpers wouldn't come down off of $2,000, even after kickoff. After a few minutes I gave up and walked over to the mall next to University of Phoenix Stadium and paid $10 to watch the game on a 100' projection screen in the courtyard.

Of course UoP Stadium only holds 63K while AT&T holds 80K, so that'll make a difference. But you're also talking a huge school in Ohio St with nearly 1/2 million living alumni, so that will keep demand high.

Glad I got tickets this time around through an Oregon season ticket holder for face value - which is still almost $500.

Because Ohio States semester starts Monday, OSU can exceed NCAAs 20-hour practice rule this week. Oregon can't.

NCAA is garbage.

I tried that for the Oregon v Auburn game with $1,500 in my pocket, but the scalpers wouldn't come down off of $2,000, even after kickoff. After a few minutes I gave up and walked over to the mall next to University of Phoenix Stadium and paid $10 to watch the game on a 100' projection screen in the courtyard.

Of course UoP Stadium only holds 63K while AT&T holds 80K, so that'll make a difference. But you're also talking a huge school in Ohio St with nearly 1/2 million living alumni, so that will keep demand high.

Glad I got tickets this time around through an Oregon season ticket holder for face value - which is still almost $500.

Where you sitting?

I was able to order tickets through the Ducks' Website for season ticket holders and was pretty pleased to get 200 level seats (even if they are in the endzone...which is where I sit in Autzen (corner endzone).

I also got a parking pass and plan to 'tailgate' with my buddy in his rented Chevy Malibu. Feel free to stop by for a lite beer or a Funion.

 
Seems that it would be a very easy fix to allow ALL teams to start on a certain date so that everyone is on a level playing field.

You have to remember the group you are talking about. When "too many bagels/bagel toppings" is considered a problem, I can easily see this being a problem.

My parents got tickets through U of O ticket office and we are sitting in section 441. Upper level but around 25 to 30 yard line. I fly out on Saturday, can't wait. 4 years ago when we went out for the LSU game we all went to the Buffalo Wild Wings to watch games and drink. Walking distance to stadium. I'm sure everything will be packed.

Yup, just saw that. Oregon's #1 WR entering the season out before season started, and now #2, #3, and #5 receiving threats all out. Most importantly, in the last 10 days the two best deep threats are now gone. Next man up, but the combo of Allen and Carrington is a big blow.

And if true, that he smoked weed in the last month knowing a drug test was possible, then he's a selfish idiot. The rule may be stupid, but that doesn't change the fact that they all know it.

Haven't seen my tickets yet, buddy has them, but I think they're pretty near midfield. He also got a parking pass, and some buddies rented an AirBnB house across the street from the stadium. So we'll probably start with bloody marys at the house, and then cruise around some tailgates. Some funions and a michelob ultra sounds awesome, let me know where you end up.

If we go by Auburn standards of claiming titles, FSU now considers 2014 a championship season due to performance enhancing cheaters! Back to back baby! :confetti:
