**Official 2015 Masters Thread** PICK SPIETH OR DAY AND BET (1 Viewer)

I am damn glad he's American!! Fowler and DJ just aren't going to get to this height. Reed...pfft.

That's why I don't get the hate on Phil.

No matter how many times he was given a chance to talk about himself he tried to deflect and let the attention shine on Jordan.

"I got outplayed" 3 times.

My man.

He was immature and petulant early in his career, and nobody wants to accept that a guy can change.

Yea

Like I said a few pages ago. He was a doosh the first 10 years of his career, but has been all class for 15 now.

With all of these crazy scores, is there any way to tweak the course a bit before the 2016 tourney, or it just is what it is?
yeah don't have rain
THe rain this week was no match for the subair systems. This was all the competition committee deciding they wanted low scoring and leaving the greens both receptive and (relatively) slow. They could have had them at old school firmness and speeds all four days.

ETA: They at least finally got them up to speed today. But they were still soft.

There were also several banks on the edge of ponds that weren't shaven. Can remember ever seeing a ball stop on the bank left of 11 green

Overreaction after last year. Last year's final round lacked excitement but looked downright dramatic in relation to this year's final round.

Yep. I like Jordan more than I like Tiger, but I'm glad he didn't beat the scoring record. That would have been a freaking crime. This wasn't within artillery range of Tiger's -18.

Why does it matter where he was born?
ryder
Yeah, I don't really choose who I root for based on that.
That and American golf has been weak without Tiger, in majors, other than Bubba at Augusta.
Fowler had great majors showing in all of 2014.

Sure but the course was 500 yards shorter in 1997 as well.
Heh. Is that all? He had wedge into 11 and 13 and SW into 18 playing with a 1997 Professional and a steel shafted deep face 9 driver. Pebble was the greatest performance in history, but 97 was the most shocking. One guy was 12 back. Another guy was 13 back. One other guy was 14 back. Monty after talking major #### priot played with him on Saturday and looked like he'd seen a ghost afterwards.

A little perspective people.

I'll give you a little perspective.

1997 was a long time ago.

Tiger is done and will never win another major.

Not sure you understand the concept of perspective. Or context for that matter. Not to mention calling a putt way too early.

I called this putt shortly after the scandal and nothing I've seen since makes me doubt that call.
