* * * Official 2015 NFL Draft * * * (1 Viewer)

Know I'm late on this, but did anyone catch Gruden's comment that the Rams haven't had a feature back since Eric Dickerson?

Did he really say this?
Not sure now, maybe he said "drafted" instead of "had."
Still...Steven Jackson??
Uhh... is that really the first one you think of? Ever heard of a guy named Marshall Faulk?
The guy drafted by the Colts, not the Rams? Yeah I've heard of him, have you?

;)
He didn't say drafted, he just said "had"
Not in the thread you quoted.

as a Niners fan, I just knew that they'd trade the 15 away.
For basically nothing. A flip of 4ths? Is tomsula the gm too?
Huh? They dropped back two picks and acquired 2 4th rounders I thought it said... one this year and one next year?
4th this year and 5th next.
Whatever, it's a no brainer.
Well that makes more sense. Eisen misspoke.

They have so many gaping holes now they need to trade back and acquire as many picks as they can to rebuild. Taking a guy there does nothing for them, no values at the pick.
Okay with trading back but meh, coulda asked for more. I'm just hoping they grab armstead.
Asked for more? How much more could you want than only moving 2 picks back and gaining an extra 4th and 5th rounder?

Trades will happen now, as people make smallmoves to get their guy. Top 10 teams didn't want to give up first rounders, all that's left is 2nd rounders.

Whither Bud Dupree?

Rookie draft top 5 looks solid
Who are your top 5 right now? Gurley, Gordon, White, Cooper and Parker?
Yes. Unless RB3 lands in a fantastic situation. But even then, these 5 are the most talented and each lands in good or very good situations.
How could the top 5 be any different? Those were the consensus top 5 ahead of time and they're the only ones that have been drafted so far. Anyone that was going to leap them was going to do it based on situation (IE Dallas running back) and none of them have situations yet.

Teams aren't giving up a lot to move up small. Great trade. More picks, more chances. And SF is probably happy to take Armstead, Peters, or someone else. You got three guys you love, move back two spots. Solid move.

I've seen DGB listed in the top 5 in a lot of places based on talent

None of them upgraded in landing spot today except maybe Gordon and White. Overall the back half of the 1st rd rookie class has closed the gap.

I'm fine with the Texans pick. I didn't really have my heart set on anyone after Parker was taken. Would have been happy with a trade back, otherwise, long as it was a fair enough mesh of need and not a bad reach.

You can ask, but getting is more important. They did fine.
Yeah great move, didn't know they got 2016 ppick too

The all avoided bad spots with bad QB play like Washington, Cleveland, and the Jets, which I think was the key part.

All 3 WRs landed in spots with decent QB play and both RBs landed in spots where they'll likely be feature backs.

Very Texans pick, the cleanest and safest of the DB's. Very similar to the Kareem Jackson pick IMO.Big question is do they hold on to JJo this year or go ahead and cut ties now for more cap space.

Glad Peters is off the board, seems like a complete jerk.
I think his character issue is the least concerning of any of the questionable characters. He is an alpha and he marks his territory and that's what you want in a CB. I like him a lot more than Waynes.

The Chiefs felt comfortable with Marcus Peters because it's incredibly difficult to choke Andy Reid
