I don't like the fit. I don't think Funchess is fast enough to play outside, I liked him more as a move TE but Carolina already has a really good TE.

 
Starting watching NFL network, thought they were annoying, so I switched to ESPN -- and they started playing some god awful Will.i.Am NBA playoff ad. Good god.

 
If Petty gets taken by the Saints he will instantly be the best QB in this draft once he takes over for Brees.

So shocking that an NFL event gets messed up because of a desire to squeeze in as many commercials as possible.

Nothing wrong with having two TEs when you have a mobile qb who isn't the most accurate passer.

Didn't Carolina trade up spots and there were 2 unannounced picks before their pick. That's the one that got me thinking about it. It told me they knew Funchess was still available.

Lets get back to some commercials.

Funchess could put up nice numbers as a WR (if listed as a TE in FF). Olsen is the true TE. I could see Funchess lined up out wide most of the time.

Of course that's assuming he'll be any good at the NFL level....which I have my doubts.

I don't think this is anything new. The teams get told first. Otherwise they couldn't start the clock on the next pick before the announcement, which they've done as long as I can remember.

This is why it was easy for guys like Schefter to scoop the picks. They just need 1 guy on one team willing to pass them on.

 
Go to turn on the radio to listen to the draft. Expect Clayton. Get John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman and an idoptic early season Yankee game. :hot: thank you ESPN app...

There needs to be a draft show where Kiper is the captain of one team and Mayock the other. They pick a couple of draft guys (former players or reporters) to be on their team. Prior to each pick, each team submits a card with their pick. If a team gets it right, one member of the losing team has to do a shot of booze.

And no FCC censorship. Plus trash talking is encouraged.

Not bad. Gruden would be rating after a few shots. He would go from loving every QB to announcing that he wants to have sex with every QB.

If that's the case, then Mayock would have Broadway Joe on his team. He'd start rating picks based on team cheerleaders.

There is only one game tape available on Tartt on Draft Breakdown. Not much to go on. He gets injured in the first half.

 
Bills have been on the clock for 5 minutes. So stupid that they're this behind. I wish the TV networks would start tipping the picks. For the first time ever it would be justified.

No doubt. Loved how NFL network went from the talking heads bashing him to an immediate cutaway for a live interview with him.

If he can avoid suspensions for pot, he'll be a steal for someone. Bit of a weird character, but supremely talented.

 
When we get back from this rare commercial there will be 4 picks to announce. We will only get to hear one and then we will need to hear another word from our sponsors.

Its bad enough that you can't put the pipe down long enough to get drafted. But these reports about him missing meetings with teams, just makes it look like he doesn't care. It takes a solid mind and body to be an NFL player.
