*Official 2016 Philadelphia Eagles* - The year of Change (1 Viewer)

Per Evan Silva:

New #Eagles FS Rodney McLeod has forced 12 turnovers last 3 years. Was PFF's No. 10 safety out of 88 in '15. Turns 26 in June.

Are the Eagles required to spend the $ they saved in the Kiko/Maxwell trade?

In other words, are they now going to be forced to overpay for free agents?

No. There is no rule on how to spend cap except that they have to be above the floor.

Yes, part of the last CBA specified that the Eagles are required to do so.  Their scouts are also not allowed to be hatless during daylight hours.

My two targets (excluding the draft) are Jahri Evans and Spencer Ware.  Would love to see them deal one of their 4th rounders for Ware.

Top S in yards/coverage snaps(min 500): 1.Michael Mitchell .13 2.Charles Woodson .22 3.Rodney McLeod .24 4.Glover Quin .34 5.Earl Thomas .35

I think he's a free agent. Maybe wrong about that.
He has one year left on his deal with Kansas city. Only due $600K this season.  He looked awesome in the games he played last year. With Jamal Charles back, and Charcandrick West backing him up, maybe we could peel him away.  Or take West if KC likes Ware better.

West got the exclusive rights FA tender.  I don't know what means a team would have to give up.

I'm not sure either.  I'd rather have West anyway. Looked like the much better runner last year.  Not as good as West catching the ball, but we have Mathews and Sproles for that.

Basically means the team can #### the player with no repercussions. They haven't reached 4 years because they're a rookie FA or practice squad guy. So the team can offer them a 1 year deal for $600k and no other team can offer him anything.

Brandon Brooks!

Ian Rapoport

The #Eagles signing G Brandon Brooks to a 5-year, $40M, source said.

Just read they're possibly interested in RGIII. Imagine having both of them?! Now that's a party!
Wow maybe Peyton reconsiders. How often is the Superbowl champ scrambling to find a QB.

I really thought we were stuck with Murray and Maxwell at least 1 more year if not more, this has been a pretty amazing couple of days.

And for people wondering why Howie wanted things done quick with Bradford see what happened with Denver and Osweiler as an example. Once competition comes it can fack up all your plans.

Love this too:

Eagles still spending, ante-up $8M/yr on a five year deal with former Texans G Brandon Brooks

Brandon Brooks is a return of sorts to bulky interior OL Andy Reid once preferred. The 26-yr-old is 6-5, 343. Has been relatively durable.

Come on people. Offensive line!!!!! We haven't seen an investment in the line in 3 years!
Just did it buddy.  Signed guard Brandon Brooks.  5 years/40 million.  Most had him as the second best free agent guard.

I'm starting to like Treadwell a bit now.  Although I'd be happy with Stanley.
Yeah? I don't know, would rather grab a stud Oline there if possible, or stud LB too.

Got an notification from the score app saying the Eagles were sniffing around Andre Holmes. No idea, apparently he was with Oakland last season.

Wow. Bit more than a backup I guess.
i mentioned it earlier, but seems like the smart and obvious choice. Sure Sam can have his chance with a full off-season etc., but now you can pull him week 4 or 5 if you think you aren't getting anything and let Daniel give it a shot for the rest of the season

Aww, Geez. I hope we don't sign him.  He's like the WR4 of the Raiders. Why are we chasing after other teams' throwaways?

Daniel's deal apparently has a lot of incentives in it where he can earn up to 32 million.  Im assuming a lot of them are based on games started and a big part is probably backloaded

After all these signings today QB is back on my draft list as well.
