***Official 2017 FBG T-shirt Exchange - Exchange Complete! 100% participation this year! Great job everyone!*** (1 Viewer)

Shirts in hand.  Some east coast stalkee is going to get some representin' West Coast gear.  Just deciding if adding any other swag to the box.

Huntsville? Going to be there on Sunday, then we head up to Nashville for a couple days, then over to Memphis for a couple before heading back to pick him up.

Camp looks very cool, he is going to have a blast!
 our 12yo did space camp through his school a couple months ago.  Loved it.

Nashville is a blast. If it's your thing, drive through Lynchburg on the way to Nashville. Out of the way a bit but the jack Daniels distillery is worth checking out.  Wouldnt prioritize it but if you have some extra time.
@-OZ- Been busy since we got back, so I hadn't had a second to thank you. We had a great time on our trip while our son was at Space Camp. On check-in day, we decided to take advantage of the Camps 'babysitting' and leave our son early (we could tell he was itching to get rid of his family and get the camp started!) and swing by Lynchburg on our way to Tennessee. This was a highlight of the trip, we hadn't even thought about it before, and had a blast! The drive thru Lynchburg on the way to Nashville was fun too. We love going off the main road, if we aren't rushing to a destination. Unfortunately since we had two other kids with us, we were unable to take a tasting tour, but the regular tour was still great. Even though I am unable to drink (medicine) I found the tour fascinating. I was stunned by the cave where they get the water, it was a fairly hot day (surprise for that area of the country! ;) ) and the air streaming out was beautiful!!

So thanks again!!

did you drink last year, or did the beers go to waste?  either way it makes me wonder if my stalker this year drinks.

maybe that should be a bit of info for next year.  shirt size and yes/no to booze.

I can sample, so I did taste them and they were great!!! My wife can drink, so they were used properly! :pickle:
BTW The In and Out burger shirt is in my regular rotation, and is one of my all-time favorites!!

ETA: The yes/no to booze is a great idea, don't want someone spending $$$ for someone who can't or doesn't drink!

  glad you were able to do it and enjoyed.

We're contemplating buying land just a few miles away from the distillery on one of the lakes.

And yeah, it's wicked hot and humid in the Tennessee valley.

Coming from the DC area of VA, it isn't all that different, just a smidge more; but it is certainly different from where I grew up, in a town on the ocean near Boston. We didn't even have A/C in the house!

Got packing material and beer and stuff.  Just need to cobble it all together and ship it out.

What's the etiquette for sending it through UPS again?  Just have it prepackaged and don't say anything unless they ask, but if they ask you tell them you're sending a soft drink or something?

I sent a couple cans last year though USPS. They didn't ask. Just wrapped in the shirts.

I just used the largest USPS box for weight doesn't matter and stuffed that.  I wasn't asked last year or this year.  Although, strangely enough for other things, they have asked.  I think b/c the boxes have been so stuffed it seemed I was sending a concrete block that they didn't even think to ask.

In an area of 300 breweries outside Bamberg, Germany for a population of around 200,000.   Picked up a t shirt at a cool place that is 560 years old.

Rearranging spreadsheet...

I always get asked if it's flammable liquids, lithium batteries and a couple other things. I just say no. I sent a couple bottles last year wrapped (or so I thought) pretty well, but they  didn't survive the trip. Stalkee got some beer dyed t-shirts

I sent a 3lb brick of 90% pure coke to a friend in CT, no issues at all. I double sealed it with one of those kitchen vacuum sealers, then surrounded it with a layer of coffee beans, put it in one of those big 2 gallon ziplock bags, then gift wrapped it. Piece of cake.

Can I get McGarnicle for my stalker next year?

FBG Package From Hell to be delivered by this Thursday to the birth city of the Dream Weaver

Picked up one shirt this weekend. Getting another this week, packing up with some libations and should be shipped south next Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Package sent just out past the home of Jake Taylor, Rick Vaughn, Willie "Mays" Hayes, and Pedro Cerrano. Really hoping the beer makes it, but if not they're all sealed in a zip lock so at least the box shouldn't get wrecked.

By the way... UPS didn't ask me a single question about what was in the box. I was going to say "Olive juice" just to see the reaction I'd get.

One shirt bought and picking up a second one today or tomorrow, and then shipping to some jagoff on the east coast this weekend.

Should be shipping early next week. Started a new job and time has been ultra limited but good stuff on the way soon! :banned:

Shirt and some "accessories" have been purchased.  Have my eye on two more shirts that I'll pick up next week.  Planning to have everything shipped by 8/10.

I meant to have it out earlier this week, but got side tracked.  Ive got everything and will pack it tonight and mail tomorrow.

Was shooting for last weekend, but I got sidetracked.  Package mailed today to the birthplace of MLB legend Jim "Gumby" Gantner.

Stalkee Package From Hell delivered to the birthplace of the Dream Weaver and sitting on the front porch.  Hope the booze made it there OK.
