Official 2018 NFL combine thread (1 Viewer)

You maybe right...
Agreed. I came away thinking at least Ridley wasn’t 180 lbs. I think he is quick enough to beat press coverage and will be a solid WR2. Which by the way is how I’m viewing Amari cooper now though if he doesn’t turn it around will be headed to WR3ville...

He was most of Maryland’s offense despite defenses knowing that
I knew that going in, but he still didn't look like an outstanding WR.  He was flailing around, not really smooth, body caught a lot of balls even when he went high.  His routes weren't that great either, so just because he was ultra productive despite other teams knowing that, what he did as a receiver didn't impress me.  His production impressed which says a lot, and he tested well, which is why I need to re-watch him.

Someone should collect mock drafts from all these fan blog sites, it'll be funny to see Shaq Griffin getting drafted by EVERY SINGLE TEAM.

I think IIRC that Maryland ran through like 3 QBs this season, they didn't have any consistency at the position this year

I hear what you are saying but if you suck as a player it is hard to be 50% of a college offense.

Shaq Griffin
Good God y'all.

I had heard of him but more as a feel good type story. Honestly never watched UCF (wish I had).

Dude is an absolute freak in the best way. Stronger than some linemen, faster than Barkley.

NFL.com has him going in round 5-6, every fan would love their team to draft him.

Wish I had watched more tape myself. The feel good narrative is fantastic, but hopefully doesn't overshadow the fact that this guy is a physical specimen and an extraordinary player, regardless of how many hands he happens to have. So much props to him for every iota of success he's had and is definitely coming his way.

Fortunately no one said anything about him sucking.  Plenty of people that don't suck also don't translate to the NFL.
The description sounded like Zyphos was saying he sucked. Maybe he didn’t mean it that way or I mistook it to be the case. Either way, I think Moore is going to be a solid NFL WR2 type with upside on the right team.

Underrated part of his game too, he can shove the stump right into people faces without getting a "hands to the face" penalty.
This post is dumb and you should feel dumb for posting something so dumb

The top CBs are showing why they're the top CBs.

They're just more fluid in their hip flips and they don't fight the backpedal.

I never said he sucked.  He didn't stand out to me is what I was saying, that his WR skills (route running, hands, quickness, separation, that sort of thing) didn't impress me.  That if you purely judge on that, which is what I do with my initial evals, I don't see the hype around DJ Moore.  With how productive he was with everyone knowing who the ball was going to, there's something to be said for that.

I’m hoping you were seriously inebriated when you posted this.  What could you possibly have been thinking about?  Going for the physically handicapped laugh?

Safeties were blazing fast today. Some official 40 times:

  • Troy Apke: 4.34
  • Dane Cruikshank: 4.41
  • Minkah Fitzpatrick: 4.46
  • Derwin James: 4.47
  • Terrell Edmunds: 4.47
  • Quin Blanding: 4.63
  • Ronnie Harrison: DNR
  • Armani Watts: DNR
  • Jordan Whitehead: DNR

So the DB Jordan Thomas from Oklahoma...wrecked the combine record for 3 cone drill down to 6.28 from 6.42.

Scouts seem down on him but to my admittedly untrained eyes he looked like one of the best performers at the position in drills yesterday.

I think McShay had him ranked super high heading into last season. Anyone know why he's not talked about more?

Edit: Oh. His 40 time was 4.64. Never mind.
