Is it my imagination or has the support for the South American teams in Russia been much higher than the support for the Euro teams?  Are they just louder or are there more in numbers?

I feel like the SA teams usually get good support from euros when they play in europe. those countries are all so close and with so much history and rivalry, I just figured they look to root for the sexy outsiders rather than their nasty neighbors.

I agree with this but it feels like more than local support when looking at the stands.  It will be interesting to see which set of fans is more today in the second game.

I read as many England fans as normal did not travel to Russia due to the political climate and safety concerns.

I am probably one of the few old timers that would love to see a tweak in the rules to increase scoring.
