I like the maize. Good change of pace.

Also, I'll be at the game.
Hope all is well in Texas GB and everyone is safe.  Have fun at the game.  We moved about two months ago right into the middle of Gator country.  I'm waiting for someone to throw eggs at my truck ala Ohio.  Hasn't happened yet. :oldunsure:

Weren't you in South Carolina?

Good luck in Gator land. I feel good about Saturday - but of course anything can happen. Even with 10 guys out, Florida is still talented.

Yeah...we just moved a couple months ago.  Wife got a job down here, so we packed our #### and moved.  It's a different place for sure.

I just checked my profile, and I haven't been here in 6.5 years.

Good to see this thread is still kicking, same peeps, and that I can still use a thumb up emoticon

Been here for about 10 years, moved down from MI. They're fun, and while they like to talk smack, they're usually pretty good after a loss.

That is about as good as a showing as we could have hoped for.  Defense looked like they just reloaded.  Offense has a ways to go, but still showed flashes.  I am guessing they are going to practice not spinning the ball.

UM played one of the better defenses they will see all year, which was not affected by the suspensions the way the Gator offense was. Even so, the pointspread barely moved on the game so maybe the whole suspension thing was somewhat overblown.

I was just happy to see an actual good O-line performance.  Obviously the Speight performance would have been the killer in most other big games, but the fact the they could actually run against a good D was a surprising change.

Really hard to get a read on this team with yet another 3 TD+ dog coming up in Air Force. Would like to see them a little less undertuned and come out of the gate fast for once. Get some of the bench players some playing time, QB being the obvious position.

Hard to believe that Harbaugh can't get a QB.  Speight should not be starting.
Hopefully the two young kids (Peters and McCaffery) are going to be good.

I mean, it wasn't all Speight's fault today. He didn't play well - but neither did anyone else on offense except for DPJ.

Play-calling has been terrible so far.  Against Cincy they refused to run the ball for some reason when they had a clear advantage.  How are they not running several screens for DPJ a game?  They need to get the ball in their playmakers hands and they aren't doing it.  I'm hoping they're holding back on some things for conference play.....they're going to lose to a bad team if they keep this up.

I can honestly say I'm worried about beating Purdue.  I should never be worried about beating Purdue
I didn't watch Louisville, but everything I read said they looked pretty good.  I have several Ohio U alumni friends who said the same about their game.  Then they just massacred Mizzou.

I don't feel good about this either.  Red zone offense must get fixed this week.

I think we have a new starting QB.
I think you are absolutely right.  It's always puzzled me.  We watched what O'Korn could do while at Houston and the Michigan staff has always maintained it was "close" between them in summer ball and practice.  It's always seemed to me that O'Korn has had the greater up side, but Speight kept getting the nod.

Any word on Speight?

The bye just gives Spieght more time to heal.  I'm worried Harbaugh will go back to him.
This was my thought as well.  I don't know if Harbaugh has a history of loyalty or not.  I've never paid all that much attention.  I'd like to see O'Korn be given a game to play without him having to look over his shoulder wondering if he's going to get pulled.

Has there been any specifics added to Speight's actual injury?  All I know is "soft tissue".

Kaepernick filled in for A Smith on an injury and never got his job back...

Just wondering if State will run the  B gap draw 25 times like they did so successfully against Iowa. NOT.

GO GREEN but I have a feeling this is going to be a 17-21 point blowout for UM. Our offense is so inept and unimaginative  right now. Oofff.

Im going with 20-13 wolverines in a much closer game than I want it to be.  The D gets a late red zone stop to keep it from going to OT
