**OFFICIAL 2025 Draft Thread - Green Bay Opens The Door For Guests** (4 Viewers)

could see the raiders, jets, browns or saints trade back into first to get sanders and have him under a 5th year option. the kid is too accurate and smart with the ball to not be drafted in the first. with the giants setting a reasonable price i expect it to happen tonight

James Pearce Jr...Falcons trade up to get him
WOW

Rams receive 2nd round pick this year and a 1st round pick next year in a QB rich class, oh my!

Not sure Pearce is worth that kind of draft capital

Lotta mouths to feed in GB.

Good for Love. Kinda FF bad for GB WRs.
Is it? Watson is gonna miss a lot of the season, Doubs is 1 hit from his career being over, and they are both FA after the season. Reed is a gadget/slot, and Wicks is JAG. I don't know there was a better landing spot for Golden short or long term.
Agree with everything but Wicks being a JAG. Just needs to clean up his drops, dude gets open at an elite level.

Don't agree that Reed is just a gadget guy, stud in the making going into his 3rd year IMO...
Actually I missed that part, agree with you.

If he's not just a gadget guy, then GB is stupid, because they've refused to use him as more, despite massive need and injuries.

Wow...what a great deal for the Rams.
It makes me wonder why some of the teams picking before them did not do this kind of deal?

Like say the Chargers. Sure Hampton is good but you could have got a good RB with that second and just picked up that 2026 first.

And they got a #2 this year as well...serious haul for a pick in that part of the first round.

I think they might like Will Howard if he's there in the 3rd

What did the Giants give up?
34, 99 and a 2026 3rd
That's pretty affordable
Seems like a good deal for the Texans who can probably get a player of comparable talent at 34
Could be a win/win for sure but right now all I know is Giants got to draft BPA at 3 and still get QB they wanted with that 5th year option for cheap. So for them, love it, tbd on Texans.
To me, it’s too much capital on dart. He has above average tools but that ole miss offense did not require him to think that much and I am skeptical of his ability to get there
That's just it. It's not much capital to move up especially to get that 5th year. The Rams just gave up their pick to go back about 20 or so picks and got a first next year. This is 99 and a future third for a QB.

Falcons continue to run laps around everyone
They better deliver quickly with everything they have spent on Offense over the last 4-5 years and now going all in on their Front 7 on Defense
Better hope they don't go 6-11 and give away a Top 10 pick to get this guy Pearce, not sure I see what they do in this guy

-Landon Jackson still on the board, better prospect IMHO

I mean Manziel only fell to 22.

Those Sanders draft interviews with teams must have been insane.

As for my Bengals - gotta hope Golden can buck our overwhelming history of failing to develop raw prospects that are supposed to have a ton of talent.

Gadget guy and a slot guy are not the same thing to me.

Are you sure that means what you think?

As usual, the Ravens stay patient and get an elite prospect. Honestly thought he'd fall further, just because of hype for others. Should have known Ravens are too smart to let that happen.

Yes and no. Watson out for a while. Reed that slot weapon but sort of faded down the stretch. Doubs who knows with the issues last year and multiple concussions. Wicks needs to step up. I think its TE heavy with Kraft and Reed and Golden nowget big plays with a mix of Reed underneath and Doubs as a possession/at the sticks type wr. By mideseason should see a progression with them

Edit…Doubs days are numbered

Texans now with a pair of 2nd round picks and three 3rd round picks. Could move back up.

Kind of wish we traded with ATL
Right, it's like ATL paid more for a later pick then the Giants paid for a higher pick to get a QB.

I kind of agree. Though I think the difference between 34 which Houston got, and pick 46 which LA got, might have really dropped a tier in terms of O-line available.

But I'd have been willing to make that trade then try to move back up, so yeah.

5th year option is kind of irrelevant for qbs at this point though. If the qb is good enough for a 5th year option he's going to get extended before the 5th year. If he's not good enough for the option he's going to be benched/cut by then.
