***Official - 2025 Major League Baseball Thread (1 Viewer)

I saw that Gibson HR live at a Jai Lai Fronton in Dania Beach. We were all around a tv while in line to make our bets and we all went crazy when we saw it. It was the mighty Oakland A’s and Eckersley who arguably had one of the most dominant seasons a closer ever had in 1988. I think he only walked 4 guys.

Gibby knew his 3-2 out pitch was a slider…..and the rest was history.

Watching this….my heart sunk being a Yankees fan. But how the heck can anyone not like Freddie Freeman. One of the class acts in baseball.

How can you not be romantic about baseball after that majestic shot.

In the old days with no replay it's possible they could have called it a Homerun.....see that little NY **** in right field

Does Cortes see the field again this series? To say he looked shell shocked after the HR would be an understatement. The look on his face when walking off the field was like he just got violated by a horse.

Info on the Ohtani injury:

Manager Dave Roberts said after Game 2 that Ohtani suffered “a little left shoulder subluxation, so we’re going to get some tests tonight or tomorrow and know more.”

Roberts said the Dodgers have initial optimism because of the range of motion and strength in Ohtani’s left shoulder. But he did reiterate more clarity would not arrive until Ohtani undergoes an MRI on Sunday.

A subluxation differs from a complete dislocation in that the ball at the top of the arm bone only partially comes out of the socket rather than fully being dislodged.

He didn't fly out with the tam to NY but should be on his way there after getting an MRI.

I've had this. Hurts like hell especially if any nerves get "caught".
For me it hurts to throw but I could actually swing relatively pain free.

He'll be fine...

Looked like he jammed his shoulder and has something akin to a sprained AC joint.

Should be fine. Lots of ice and Advil. Lol. It’s the World Series. **** they may stick him right into the cryo chamber if they haven’t already lol.

No time wasted coming up with this and if the price was reasonable I might be interested.

Damn...Freddie on a heater. I have no dog in the fight but am a big fan after his on field interview after the grand slam. Still want a series so lets go Yanks.
