The TdF Femmes has been great again. Remember that last year was a 4 s gap at the end when Vollering's breakaway put her ahead, only for Niewiadoma to get herself back together and cross the line with the 4 s gap.

This year, the Olympic MTB champ Pauline Ferrand Prevost destroyed everyone on the second-to-last stage to put it out of question, but now they're fighting for podium spots in the final stage. Vollering and Niewiadoma are going to pass Gigante to finish 2-3, meaning both have been on the podium for all of the 4 TdF Femmes.

Note - this is on a per rider basis, e.g., there are no repeats. I wonder if they didn't have that filter how many times EM or TP would be on the list?

Huh, how did I miss Brennan being on Jumbo's squad in Poland? I like that kid and expect him to make some noise this race.

Interesting how similar the teams are. Many of your guy's teams were alterante iterations I had.
1st and who knows. 😂

Why is froome still riding these races?
Lots of guys like Boven on earlier iterations. m I should be in the rear with no Kooji.

I was looking at Froome's results yesterday. Guy must just enjoy riding his bike.

Huh, so only my saddle sores don't have Kooij.
Dropping Kooji was my last change...

Kooji + $4 rider for Hayter and Riccettello.

I dug pretty deep into that. Looked like one day didn't have a mid-ride sprint and others had two. One was at the top of a climb.

Kooji needs to return 467 points to be a good value. I saw a pretty easy route to 350, didn't dig into how the finishes are scored point wise towards green in this race.

In the Peloton league we have 3 in the top 20. We'd have 5 by points if all were in.

Our league is tough. At least lately we're well above average on points, it seems.

6th is surprising

but not sure I have the right GC guys to stay up this week

basically took the best sprinter, Vacek (figure he’s the L-T leader should do well) and the other 7 are just my favorite young riders (mostly punchers instead of climbers)

19 year old, 21 y.o., 23 5x and 26 2x

GC guys typically peak 27-29

personally it’s just more fun to take guys I like than to grind over how the stages might play out

I think you and I share 5 4 riders, everyone else has like 1-3 of my team

big difference today was Olav but you’ll probably smoke me the rest of the stages

think I have a few TTers for the final stage but those gaps shouldn’t be huge bc it’s a short & flat TT

My repeated mistake in these is looking at the profile and saying what a lot of climbing because the bumps are huge and not digesting they are 1.5 km at 4.5% that even Milan can climb. The bumps are huge when you don't have Hautacam, etc tampening them down to mosquito bites.

I'll have to see if I can find the photo, probably on an old hard drive. Rock Hill Criterium streets sprints about 15 years ago, probably a 4 block straight sprint in downtown packed with spectators. 5 or 6 guys side by side. As you know, I'm on the big side for a cyclist. I started in last place but had made my way to second when my left bike cleat splintered. I then stuck out my left foot and pedaled with the right foot only. I looked at the guy just ahead of me on my right and though I could do it. I had pulled even with him when my violent pedaling action put the bike into a wobble like that video. Down I went at roughly 37-38 mph. Slide across the road in front of the rest of the field into the curb. Kit ripped and arse cheek was hanging out. Medics bandaged me up. Dude that won came up afterwards and told me he heard me say I can do this. Would have been quite the highlight to win that one legged.

Next day was the crit and I was very sore covered in road rash. Still have a pavement burn this day on my left forearm. I was shelled within minutes.

Last day I was in the 40 mile road race. Flatted with 3 miles to go in the lead group. Unfortunately there was a serious accident in another field and our SAG truck had pulled off to assist. I walked 3 miles back to the finish.

Next day, I retired from cycling races.

@BobbyLayne and I have 6 riders in common.

dang bro you have a keystroke tracker on my laptop

I somehow missed that thought I looked at everyone to see who had riders in common but def missed yours

I see you took one of the Poland National Team guys - is he the best one of the lot or just a dart throw?
Complete dart throw. Name was nice and Polish. I got excited when I saw the break today. But I picked the wrong Pole for today!
