Just picked one up a couple weeks ago for my son. Gotta say, it's pretty cool. 

Can use this to talk about things to print, designing, etc or just answer questions for anyone considering one.

We got the Monoprice printer at Amazon for ~$300. It's super easy to download stuff and print but want to start getting into more original designs, especially for him to work on.

I've really gone down the rabbit hole with this thing the past month and a half. I put an Ender 3 Pro together early in July. Made a timelapse video, got a workbench to paint stuff with, printed tons of stuff and given away much of it to friends etc. Past day I printed a 7" Wolverine figure for a buddy that likes to make dioramas. Having a ball with it

Just using other people’s STL files for now. I have done some work in tinkercad to make like stands for figures and stuff. I really like how my little Monopoly Man came out- I didn’t even need glue, I just used a digital caliper to measure him and retrofitted a hole in the base to his scale, angled it so it looks like he’s running forward etc. Same with the Super Meat Boy. It’s all just so dang cool to me

I ordered two rolls of the stock ender pla filament off amazon and 4 more from atomic filaments after that. Haven’t had any difficulties for my part
