Official 9th Pick Thread (12 team redraft) (1 Viewer)

Here is a link to the 9th Pick PPR thread...

I wanted to give people a forum to give their non-PPR opinions on the 9th pick.

For my money after the top 5 consensus running backs (Foster, Peterson, Johnson, Rice, Charles) are off the board I would take McCoy, Johnson or Johnson, or whomever you view as the best QB out there...Rodgers or Vick most likely.

I am leaning towards Johnson or Johnson...and following up with a RB like McFadden/Gore or another WR like Fitz/White depending on who makes it around the turn...

Thoughts?

Just finished our draft. Pick 9th. Start QB-RB-RB-WR-WR-WR-TE-PK-DST, Non-PPR, Std scoring (4 pt pass TD).

Strategy going in was RB-RB-WR, but all that went out the window when 1st round started with top 5 RBs and top 3 QBs gone by the 9th. Changed strategy and went with Megatron at 1.09, followed by Graham at 2.04. RB/QB run continued, and although 1 TE and 3 more WRs (Fitz/R.White/A.Johnson) taken, I couldn't pass J.Jones who fell to me at 3.09. So I ended up going WR-TE-WR, but not complaining with studs at those positions. Now had to solve QB/RB issue. Took D.Martin at 4.04 and hoped for M.Ryan in round 5, but he was swooped before my pick. My hindsight regret was panick with round 5 pick looking at leftover QBs and decided on snatching M.Vick at 5.09 and lost D.Brown to 6.01. Missed out on several other favorites when other reached early for them before their ADPs, such as E.Decker and B.Lloyd. Took Ridley at 6.04 and S.Greene at 7.09 and RG3 at 8.04.

Not how I planned my draft to go, but pleased and will have to work the waivers to beef up the my RB stable.
