***OFFICIAL AD breaks NFL Record*** (1 Viewer)

The scary thing is he could have had over 300 yards and 4 TDs if Childress hadn't taken him out when the Vikings had a first-and-goal at the nine. Instead, he left in Taylor, who fumbled on third down.
TWO different times Taylor replaced him inside the 10. The other time, Chester scored.

What was the record before today? I have a steak dinner bet on it being under 300. (I know its under cause ADP had 296) I won already, but what was it??? We really cant remember...

295, Jamal Lewis
:excited: :excited: Thanks!!! Anyone know a good steak house in the Metro Detroit area? Money no object, he hit the freakin lotto last year.
The Capitol Grille in Troy.

:11: passengers have enough money to spring for a steak dinner?Next he's going to insist that Dustin Hoffman was in Star Wars.

Lots of   :lmao: , today. And yes, after winning 21 Mil, and his wife talking him into getting the lump sum, then divorcing him, W/ 4 kids, he still has something north of 1 mill one year later. Yes, Im still jealous, and it was ADP on my team all over him today!!!

He sure is fun to watch. I agree, if he wasn't pulled at the goal line when Chestnuts fumbled I have no doubt he would have had 300+ and a 4th TD. The Chargers D is by no means a push over either.
Or if he wouldn't have fumbled in the red zone as well. I mean I understand he is a beast, but I don't want Childress to run the guy into the ground. It is a long season (and hopefully a LONG career). I think Childress understands how special he is but doesn't want to ruin the franchise by playing him "All Day."

And to think I was on trial for my trade of ADP and Braylon Edwards to get Addai after week 4. Think those two turned out OK? I probably traded away a superbowl.

congrats rook, your making viking games fun to watch.
I'm going to the Minn v. Giants game. At the beginning of the season, we thought it would be ok, but cool to see him, but man... TEARING IT UP :goodposting:
i will be attending the game too, traveling down from dc!!
If you're traveling down from dc you better leave now because it will take you quite a while until you hit The Meadowlands.

Nearly nobody thought I was getting the good end of the deal when I bet cobalt27 and JohnnyU that AD would finish with more fantasy points than LT2 this year....gotta think I'm a huge favorite now, no?

LT2

657 rush yards

248 rec yards

8 TDs

65+23+48 = 136 total fantasy points so far

ADP

1036 rush yards

206 rec yards

9 TDs

103+20+54 = 177 total fantasy points so far

Seriously, how would even think to NOT start him every week. WOW
last week he had 7.44 points to lendale's 15.10. Week before he had 15.10 to Lendale's 22.6. He was facing what is supposed to be one of the best Run D's in the league and a very hot team. He also had Tarvaris Jackson starting at QB, ensuring that said hot team would key on him. There was nothing about this match-up that indicated the remotest possibility of this. Meanwhile, Lendale's been the hot hand and playing a terrible team. Seemed to make sense at the time :goodposting:
A classic case of thinking way too hard. Start your studs, plain and simple. They are the best players in the league because they excel no matter the match-up. Sure there will be some games where they underperform, but I'd rather not miss out on games like AD had today. Play matchups when you are picking between two equal players, not when choosing between AD and Lendale White.

Peterson is great, but can we stop with this "All Day" jazz?
No way - All Day is a great nickname. AD=Speed baby!
:bye: Why the rip on AD as a nickname? Dumb.
AD=ROY
ya think?he's passed that feat, we are on to MVP talk now.
Pfft. We passed that four weeks ago. Now it's time for "is ADP a unanimous first-ballot HOF inductee?"
AD for President!

Really? Because right now the guy leading the 8-0 New England Patriots with those ridiculous 33 TDs/3 INTs is who I'd put my money on for league MVP.

Really? That team has so much talent, you could guide them to 7-1. How is that valuable? Without Peterson, Minny is winless.

there's no way the patriots even have a winning record with matt cassel as their qb.how is it that, arguably, the two teams with the weakest backup qbs (pats and colts) never need them?

as for peterson, 253 yards in the second half. now that's impressive.

Yeah and the sad thing but true thing(I believe) Is Childress put Taylor in there only for his own ego once Peterson wore down the defense so he can say hey look my guy Taylor can do the same thing when given the ball even though it was in the 4th quarter after Peterson wore the d down. I really hate this guy (Childress) More and more every week. Heck he didn't even want AD out there to break the record he had to beg to get back out there to get the 2 or 3 yards needed.

As much as I got greedy, I don't have much of a problem with Childress letting Taylor get in on the fun. Taylor WAS their entire running game last season. It's good for team morale to let everyone feel like they are part of the big win. I'll fight more important battles than this one.

"AD had a good game today, but he runs too upright and won't make it the whole season. He's injury Prone also."

This was quoted tody from the 6 GM's that passed on him in April as they CTOA.

Man, he would look good running with the Browns right now. We could've taken him and then Tony Ugoh in the 2nd.

He also helped me defeat the Brady/Moss Owner today. He's actually better than I thought he was going to be.

no doubt in my mind Tom Brady is the clear MVP so far.i think you can discuss AD in the next tier.

Just to add some perspective to what he's accomplished. There are some that are saying the O-line is why he's having his success. And they deserve credit. But compare the Numbers in HALF the games behind the SAME O-line.

lol at the "crazy horse" avy.Peterson should touch the ball 28-32 times a game no question....no matter the score, field position, nothing.still needs to be involved in the passing game more, the vikings have called as many screen passes for AD as they have for me this year.

Is there anyone in the NFC that is playing better than ADP?

He is the NFC's MVP for sure right now.

Man, that guy is just good.

He can stop playing right now and still win the ROY.

Helk, the man could stop playing football for good and is already a legend. That's right, I said a legend!

Romo fans might disagree with you...I have both so I'll let them share the NFC MVP. :)
Romo is having pretty much an above average season. That's it.ADP is on pace to break the NFL Rookie rushing record and on pace for the 2nd most rushing yards is a seaon of all-time. Already broke the single game rushing record. Plus another 200+ game and we might be talking about breaking the NFL season rushing record. So I think it's pretty safe to say that as of right now ADP is the NFC MVP.

Yep, that idiot Brad Childress is definitely underutilizing him.
Look at what happens when Childress doesn't... :lmao: He easily could have had another TD but Childress threw Taylor a bone.
could have easily, easily been a 350yard 5 TD day.I wouldnt be surprised to see the record fall again this year.Whats the record for most rushing TDs in a game?

Obviously take projections with a grain of salt...

Through 8 games...

All Day 157 carries...1035 yards= 6.4 YPC 8 TD... 12 rec 206 yards 1 TD..

On pace for 2070 rushing, 412 receiving, 17 TD total

Plus chew on this...

All Day- 7 TD of 20 yards or more (so far!)

By comparison

Jamal Lewis (2003)- 387-2066 14 TD, 205 yards receiving...

Eric Dickerson (1983)- 390-1808 20 TD, 404 yards receiving

The Murderer (1973) - 332-2033 12 TD, 70 receiving in only 14 games

Terrel Davis (1998) 392-2008 23 TD. 217 Rec

LT2 (2006)- 348-1815 30 TD 81 rec

So All Day would have the highest YPC and the most total yards ever...only 2 caveats.. the murderer did it in 14 games and obviously All Day doesnt have the TD numbers that the others have (but IMHO that is artifically inflated sometimes)
The murderer also did it on a team with an even worse passing game than Minnesota - 1200 yards on the season and only 4 TDs.
