***Official*** AFC Div Playoff Game Thread (1 Viewer)

As someone said in the "beware" thread, this is like a Supe to me. I really think this may be "the game" this year.

These two teams matchup very well. It should be a great game. The playoffs often(for whatever unexplained reason) wind up having a bunch of blowouts.

Pats/Jets was a real good game for 3 quarters, then the Pats just took over. I'll take 3 very good Qs, if "the playoff gods" say it's gotta be a blowout.

Last week BB and Mangini were clearly matching wits and that was intriguing. I wonder if Marty will be so obvious or just play it somewhat straight forward.

I wonder if Light and/or Graham can handle Merriman.

I wonder if BB can confuse Rivers into INTs and scheme to contain LT to a non-superman like game.

I wonder if it's close in the 4th, if Brady just takes over and adds a page to his story.

So excited for this game.....

Likely to be the best game of the weekend. The Pats will try to make the QB beat them (no big secret, LOL). In the end, Rivers comes thru & San Diego gets the job done.

IMO Pats will have trouble containing LT but it all rides on Rivers making good decisions
No doubt. I don't care if LT2 breaks one run for 80 yards but the rest of his carries will concern me. 18 for 60 yards, Pats will be OK. 18 for 100 yards though......

"The last time we came out here (1980), it was 44-7 and they beat the hell out of us. They played that 'San Diego Super Charger' song. . . . I still hear that thing in my sleep." -- Bill Belichick

Get used to it, Bill.

San Diego Super Chargers - mp3

Go Chargers. I've been a big supporter of Rivers all year, obviously LT is one of the game's great guys, and I hate how all of Marty's accomplishments go ignored.

Hopefully we get a good game here.

Word has it that there are quite a few Pats fans with tickets -- According to the Boston Globe blog, there are a lot of them in the parking lot.

The Chargers finish what the Broncos started last year and put the Pats playoffs mystique in the ground.

Rivers outplays Brady, all other things being nearly equal, the Pats have no answer for the huge speed advantage the Chargers have.

Chargers get the W. :homer:

Should be a good one, though we're due for a blowout this week.

Let's get it on!

Anybody been to a Chargers game? Will the fans be on their feet the whole game like they would at Foxboro and many other stadiums?
