***OFFICIAL*** ALDS Tampa Bay Rays v. Chicago White Sox (1 Viewer)

This is the one game I was definitely expecting them to lose. Danks is tough as hell on them, and Garza has all of the mental strength of a lizard. Worried about Sonny facing that homer-happy lineup, but I think they can scratch some runs off of Floyd. I'd rather it not go to 5, but even if it does they have Shields in the pocket.
 the rays should be fine. the whole sox staff besides danks has got a lizard brain.....iguess
I called this one as Danks has owned us all year long as have most left-handed pitchers. The lineup just is not the same against the lefties so tomorrow is another day. It is stronger against righties but I worry about Sonnanstine pitching in that park. He is prone to a lot of XBH as he must locate very well as he does not have the greatest stuff. When he misses, he misses over the plate in the nitro zone of a lot of batters.

Sonny has been pretty good this year and I don't think you want a guy to make his second career start in game 4 of the LDS.
I'm not suggesting starting him, but.......Probably something only a fan of the team would know, but the White Sox flat out suck against SPs they've never seen before. Make it a Lefty, and multiply the suckitude. It wouldn't be the dumbest move Maddon could make, but he won't. In saying that, Price should be the first out of the bullpen if Sonny gets roughed up early.

How was the game? Looked like a great crowd.

Got there a little late so don't know how they were pre game. We were hanging at a friend's house in the South Loop and knew there was going to be a rain delay, so we waited it out there where the beer was already paid for. Next thing you knew it was 3:30 and they said on the radio the tarp was off the field and they were starting in 10 minutes. Once the Sox started putting up some runs, the crowd got going, but nothing over the top. But once Bobby got in, the place was up for grabs.Fun time. Tickets in hand for this afternoon. Hopefully they can push it to game 5

If Floyd brings his A+ stuff this afternoon, I'll be at the game in Tampa! Can't wait! Don't think the Sox have much of chance versus Shields in game 5, but I'm expecting them to at least play that game. If Floyd can keep Longoria/Pena from elevating the ball, I think the WhiteSox pull it out. No Sox fan seems to care much for D'Wayne wise, but he sure has had some clutch hits in this series.

Whatever the case, the Sox did better than the Cubbies!

:lmao: Not shocked at a bunch of Cubs playing ### grab. It would be even less shocking if it were their fans doing it.

Well, it was good run while it lasted. Congrats to the Rays, kick some RedSox/Angel ###! Hopefully the Sox will be able to give their pitchers some much needed rest in '09.

That was more than an ### grab. I don't know what you call it...

The umps have certainly not helped the WhiteSox, not that it really matters...next time send some decent ones to the playoffs Bud! The borderline calls are doing them in!

Congrats to the Sox fans on a nice year. Hopefully they overhaul some of those lunkheads and rebuild around your real star players.

Cappy, Knightro and the rest of the Rays fans out there....

Congrats. No doubt that the better team won this series. The only chance the Sox had was if the Rays let the spotlight get to them and it clearly didn't.

This is a team that just does everything right. From manager down to the 25th guy, they play baseball they way it's supposed to be played. Pitching, clutch hitting, defense, base-running, all are above average. I can't imagine the Rays being an easy matchup for any of the 4 remaining teams.

Congrats to the Rays- class organization loaded with the players to really go deep this year. Good luck! See ya next season.
