***OFFICIAL*** ALDS Tampa Bay Rays v. Chicago White Sox (1 Viewer)

Keep it up Clayton Richard...gonna need to be the Sox #5 next season....after Kenny Williams dumps Vazquez on some team that has no chance of winning.

Is this the same guy(Richard) who started the futures game? Tall, lanky lefty?

EDIT: 5 outs, 5 K's for Richard...but no, lets start the little girl in game 1! ####...this game was there for the taking...

EDIT2: What is the deal with air-vent? Are the Rays pulling that same #### the Twins do? God I hate dome teams...

Bases loaded for the Sox....6-3 Rays....1 out....and hold your breath now....

Juan Uribe/Orlando Cabrera/D'Wayne Wise due up....

I love your glove Juan, but I have a better chance of making contact with this stud...Balfour is nasty...

Where did they get this guy? The Aussie Criket League? He's 31 and I've never heard of him, but he has some "STUFF"

One down.

Big Game Buerhle v Kaz tommorrow.

The crowd should be rocking by 6 on a Friday.

Burls needs to step up big...1-1 with Danks/Floyd going at home gives the Sox a decent chance of winning the series...

On the other hand, I don't see the Sox scoring more than 3 runs versus Kazmir. Can't wait!

Ugh.

No problem with Javy starting the 5th, but after that I have problems. Ozzie should have had a lefty and a righty warming up at the end of the 4th. Only a LHP was. The top of the order coming up and it's their 3rd time through the lineup. Since being in Chicago, there are few instances where Javy didn't get lit facing batters a 3rd time. One base runner and he should have been gone.

You could see where this was headed and Ozzie still doesn't have a RHP warming up to match up with Longoria and has to leave him out there with two on.

I #####ed about it before, but to have Javy face Longoria here with 2 on is inexcusable. You do everything you can to keep this a one batter game. Ozzie did everything to make sure it wasn't. Considering Longoria has already taken him deep twice, they were lucky to get out of that at bat with just an RBI single.

Game got away from them right there.

Nice win for the Rays. Difference in this game was the offensive execution by the Rays and the Sox leaving the bases loaded in the 7th. The Sox pitchers cannot hold runners on base so scoring runs will be imperative for the Sox. I have no idea what was going on with Cabrera but if he was talking #### that was just bush league. Should b a great game tonight.

I couldn't believe that stunt Cabrera pulled. Bases loaded, game on the line right there against a great reliever and he completely loses focus and gets blown away. What an idiot. I was thankful for it though.

Pretty loose ship Ozzie runs there. What do you think the odds are of him having managed a game drunk? 100%?

Good question but Ozzie always maintains that the players he has on the roster are professionals that know what they have to do. He has said over and over that this team is going to score runs with the HR and he will always tell it the way it is. I have no idea what OC is doing but for a player that is a FA at the end of this year he is really going to hurt his prospects. I know he will hurt the Sox if he keeps playing games with the ball game on the line. Yeah talk trash and then swing at a pitch out of the strike zone! Knuckle head!

Man this team is slow...Kazmir loads the bases in the first...Konerko pops up to 2nd(although he just missed a bases clearing double)...Thome drives in one....

Hopefully 1 run is all Burls needs!

Driving to Waco for some reason this game was not on the radio anywhere that I could find. Texas hates baseball I guess.

Good game though from what I've got to see.

good game for the Rays.the white sox have no clue how to play good baseball.
I thought the WS would win this in 4. Rays are ####### tough.
too slowno fundamentalsno disciplineno small ball with dye, thome, konerko in the line upnot sure how they made it in.

Playoff wins are cool.

That was probably their most complete win of the year. After the first, they were pretty much perfect.

They just have great defense, pitching and a ton of speed. And they won both of these games without Pena.

Still, Danks and Floyd is a tough draw in the next two. Here's hoping they can scratch out a few against Danks and end this thing quickly.

It's been a real treat watching how hard and well they play. You don't see it too often anymore.

It took a long time to come together but a lot of neutral fans saw the Rays rising, but even the most optimistic thinker could not have seen this coming. White Sox look overmatched and I didn't think that would happen even though I think the Rays are the better team. I thought they might tighten up, they haven't. Howell was great today and the management of the pitching staff was flawless IMO. I'm not on the Rays bandwagon yet, but if they are playing the Red Sox in the ALCS I might take out an ad in the Detroit Free Press: Boston guys swallow I'm Doctor Detroit, and I approve this message.

Sometimes you need a little luck, Rays take lead 1-0 on a swinging bunt...probably all they will need if they can keep this glorified softball team in the park today.

Danks has his good stuff, but it usually only lasts till the 6th or 7th inning. If the Sox BP can hold, and Floyd wins as expected tommorow, who would start for both teams come Weds. in Tampa?

Don't most starters only last till the 6th or 7th inning? :goodposting:Upton with a monster shot to bring it back within 2.

This is the one game I was definitely expecting them to lose. Danks is tough as hell on them, and Garza has all of the mental strength of a lizard.

Worried about Sonny facing that homer-happy lineup, but I think they can scratch some runs off of Floyd. I'd rather it not go to 5, but even if it does they have Shields in the pocket.

The one other thing is, I doubt Sonny has a long leash tomorrow. They have Price just sitting there and they won't need him in game 5, as Kaz will be on 4-days rest as well if Shields got hit up.

I think Joe manages this tomorrow like a game 5.

why not start price?

Sonny has been pretty good this year and I don't think you want a guy to make his second career start in game 4 of the LDS.
