**Official Alphonso Soriano Dropped Fly Ball Tracker** (1 Viewer)

Alphonso "Hops" Soriano just hopped his way to another dropped fly ball.

I think that's 4 on the year which is pretty impressive since it's only his 9th game.

Cubs fans have to be ready to murder this guy.
That's Jim Hendry that they should be ready to murder. That contract was an albatross before the ink dried.
Really the thing that killed me was the Cubs from what I recall not participating in the Beltran free agency sweepstakes and then a year later signing a player with similar power/speed to more money who was a huge defensive downgrade and a huge on base downgrade.

I'm not gonna lie: I was pretty excited when the Cubs signed Soriano. Defense was obviously gonna be an issue, but the guy was coming off 40/30 and 40/40 seasons. He was driving in nearly 100 runs as a leadoff hitter. It looked like he was in his prime and I thought he'd be good for a long time. Unfortunately, MLB cracked down on PEDs and guys like Soriano have fallen off the cliff.

The drop wasn't the reason the Cubs lost the game yesterday. His lack of hustle is just killing this teamYesterday Fonzie hits a high fly ball to right, it drops in.......he's standing on 1st :goodposting: . If he showed any hustle at all, he would have been standing on second. Next batter hits a liner through the right side.....Soriano moves over to 3rd where he dies with the 3rd out.Cost the Cubs a run, and ultimately the gameCan't stand him.....he needs to be gone. Eat as much of his contract as you have to, just make it happen.

Simply the fact that he still is the same hitter that chases low and away and high and fast as he was as a 20 year old is an example of his lack of effort. The fact that he seems to have never truly worked at improving his game is the maddening part.
