Official Arian Foster - All Foster news, all the time (3 Viewers)

Just curious, not sure if this has been metioned, but has anyone traded away or traded for Arian? If so who did you give up / receive?
I traded him in one of my dynasty leagues where I am long in the tooth at QB.

I gave Arian and Eli

and received

Tannehill and Sankey

I also have Brady and Peyton. So I took a shot on the future. I love Tannehill's upside now...and I think Arian has a year left in the tank. I made this trade after he had the surgery. Sankey is an "X" factor if he pans out. Not a bad trade for either side.

Where's everyone been taking him the last few days?

I'm targeting him 4.6 in my 12 team league

We start Q,R,W,T,F,F,K,D

So we could roll with 1RB and 3 WR's

8 teams make the playoffs so I'm thinking I want to grab Foster 4.6 and then Grab a RB to use in the 5th or 6th

Good idea?

Gronk

AJ Green

Matthews

Foster

start would be nice.

Can't wait to see the impact he has across fantasy landscapes once he returns.

Talk about a hired gun of epic proportions. If he comes back in 2-4 weeks, maybe it's not as dramatic but if he rides in Week 7 or so, tears it up doing his usual day's work, it's going to make for some interesting playoff runs in leagues.
Screw drama! I'd like Foster back week 2!

I also have a draft tonight & for some reason think he's going to go in the late 3rd/early 4th.

Got him at 5-7 on this past Sunday in a 12 team league and I was sweating that. Guy drafting at 5-9 said he would have taken him if available. You are taking a risk on drafting a guy who is out in the first 5 rounds. If he comes back sooner you are golden or it could blow up your face. You just have to back that pick up in the next few rounds and you have to hope one of those guys hit. Has able to get Williams late so hopefully he covers 2 weeks.

I took him 47th overall last night as my RB1. After the pick I got comments how people considered him earlier that round, and others saying they would've taken him in the next handful of picks if I hadn't. I followed him up with Martin as my RB2 with next pick (Ellington only RB picked between those 2).

Took him 51st overall last week. Next RBs off the board were Blount, Randle, Martin, Jennings, Spiller.

I'm thinking because we only need to start 1RB, 1WR, 1TE and 2 FLEX (WR/RB/TE) I can risk it and take Foster as my first RB at 4.6

Miller vs Matthews/Hopkins at 3.7 will be a tough choice but If confident in getting foster, I can go TE,WR,WR,Foster,Best Available, and then a RB to use in place of Foster.

In 10-team, non-PPR, drafting from the 2-spot.

I am going RB at number 2.

Then if I can get 2 of Calvin, AJ Green and TY Hilton at 19 and 22, then I will target Greg Olsen at 39 and pull the trigger on Foster at 42.

If I can't get two of the top 9 WR, I think that I then have to take Forsett or Miller at 22 and make up for WR at pick 42.

Unless I really think that I can make up for WR at 59/62/79/82, plus grab a QB in there.

Maybe there is enough at WR to get a WR2 among Marshall, Landry, ARobinson, Agholor, Charles Johnson, etc.

When they showed Foster rehabbing on Hard Knocks he said he was in the best shape of his life this summer.

He also made it sound like he'd miss two games.
Did he mean that he currently is in the best shape of his career or prior to the injury?
Prior to injury. But he also seemed to play the injury off as if he might be out two weeks. I'd have to go back and watch again to get the exact quote.

He was standing on a balance board, with a medicine ball between his legs doing lat pulls.
The quote was in the ESPN article Faust posted above

"I was actually in the best shape of my life. I'll still be able to salvage a season out of it. It's not going to be I'm going to be back for two games."
He did not say he'll only miss two games in this quote. I haven't watched the Hard Knocks episode but will check it out.
This^. I think there's some confusion about what he said. He did not say that he would only miss 2 weeks. What he said is that he will definitely play more than 2 games. Big big difference. He actually sounds a bit less optimistic than all of the prognostcators if you ask me.

12 team league that requires to start one running back two ride receivers and two flex. Foster went at 5.12

Followed this plan and got Charles/AJ Green/TY Hilton/Olsen with the first 4 picks.

Then agonized over Jordan Matthews vs. Foster at pick 42, but we only start 2 WR and non-PPR, so pulled the trigger on Foster at pick 42. Still not sure about it, but was able to grab Crowell and Maclin at 59 and 62 plus Tevin Coleman at 79, so all in all, I think it was ok.

Took him in the 6th in a 10 team standard league Monday...and 5th round in a 12 team PPR tonight.

Rolling with Crowell for a few weeks I think until Foster can take over (hopefully)

in a 16 team league I'm drafting 12 and hope he will be there at pick 76 (5.12), but may need to grab him at 53 (pick 4.5). I really don't want to take him earlier than that (i.e. my third pick) so here's crossing my fingers that my league mates are not as up on his recovery status...

Took him in the 7th round 72nd in a 12 team non ppr league last night.

IF he comes back earlier than expected = Powerball hit :pickle:

OR he's out until week 8 = worth the wait :coffee:
In my 10 team league I took him in round 7 at pick number 66

I went QB, WR and RB. Luck, then Demaryious. So Happy to pair Foster with Forsett when he returns sooner rather than later!!!

He went #47 in mine, was hoping to get him at #60.

October would be terrible.

I know Beckham missed 4 games and went on a tear last season, I just hope Foster does the same.

Are we a 4-6 week injury or a 2-6 week injury?

I don't mind waiting 4 weeks for a 100% healthy Foster. Last thing I want is for them to press him back into service too early and have him re-injure the groin. Twelve weeks of Foster at the price I paid (62nd) would still be the steal of the draft. Actually, it probably would have been ideal if the Texans had a week 5 bye.

So nice, the man had to say it twice.

Am I right that the Texans offensive coordinator is George Godsey?

Does anyone know anything about him (was with the Pats, ok) or what kind of offense he is expected to run?

Can you make trades? For picks?

I'm always one to move around my slots for these kind of price points.

If I wanted to move to the 5.02 to take him... Id ask the guy with that pick if he wanted to move up in the 4th from 4.15 to 4.05.

The move is the same amount 10 for 10 each way... but you give up a bit more because a 4th is worth more (typically) then a 5th.

But your intention to hit a grand slam with that 5th and still keep a 4th on your team.

Id also ask the guy at 5.03 and 5.04 if that didnt work out.

If he isnt there when you get to your pick, you wont have lost much of anything. But if he is... you are a freaking genius!

If he's coming back late September/early October we are at 2 to 4 weeks.
Basic math here but if Sunday 9/13 is week 1 then the last Sunday in September 9/27 which would be week 3, so 2 weeks hence. Which would be awesome.

I understand how a calendar works thanks though. There are currently many different reports all varying in if it's late September or early October.

I was curious if being available week 3 is still a posability or if the prognosis changed to being back Week 4 or 5.

I think if he plays before week 6 thats just some extra gravy and you get more games out of him than you expected when you initially drafted him.

I took him at 4.02 (#44 overall) in a 14-team league last night. I was certain he would not come back to me at 5.13 (#69)

Seven years as QB and RB coach at Central Florida. Three years as an Offensive Assistant and TE coach for the Patriots. I would guess he will stick with an offense similar to what O'Brien has run. I would be surprised if the offense suddenly had a dramatic change. NE obviously used the TE position a lot, but I am not sure the Texans have the same personnel.

This is great news. This isn't a collarbone or a shoulder. Contact has nothing to do with it. He just needs to be able to run. I'm sure they don't have him making aggressive cuts yet or full speed stopping and starting, but just fact that he's running already is awesome. Really hoping to see him playing by week three.

Before reading some of these comments on here I thought I took him too early, but I got him in the 10th round. It's only a 10 team league though, so maybe that's not that late

His latest hard knocks appearance was mentioned before, where

He stated that he had the best off season of his career (or something to that effect). I have owned Foster throughout the years, and I would agree, he is upper body looked stronger then I've ever seen it so that's a good sign that he busted his as this offseason.
