With that move Vanessa guaranteed an already almost assured safety for the week And ruined whatever trust Liz/Julia/Austin may have had with her.

Been known since about week 2 that Vanessa is/was a successful pro poker player and gambler. She also always beats them at chess. The idiots take no hints.

In fairness to the other housemates, I wouldn't put much stock in someone who wears as many hats as Vanessa does. She is like Teflon though.

I really think most of it is just weak minded people.

Austin goes to call her out on it and she pulls the same manuever..."You're gonna make me mad"...then sobs.

He walks away apologizing to her.

They're just incredibly dumb.

You sure about the poker thing?
They may not know how much she's won, but they know she was a professional gambler. She's gone in to detail about the lifestyle in different conversations with different HGs.

Was this on the after-hours feed? Because I haven't seen it on the prime-time show. I was under the impression that it was still her secret.

Yes. The prime time shows this year seem to be pretty weak overall compared to what actually goes on in the house.

Right. Another thing that I don't think comes across on the shows, is that Austin/twins have been on to Van for weeks now, how she has deals with everyone in the house. When alone they'll talk about how shady she is and how she needs to go, especially after Van told Julia to pick Austin in that last veto comp. And then Vanessa confronts them and within 20-30 seconds they fall back under her spell.

Frustrating to watch as a viewer.

Watching Austin get the boot was pretty funny, all mad and frustrated. I am assuming Vanessa is next but I've been assuming that for like 2 months now....

No way. Liz is next. If those 3 don't realize that Liz has a guaranteed 2 votes (maybe more) in the Jury house, they're nuts. They need to get rid of her, then sort the rest out. Vanessa likely cost herself a shot at winning the jury by doing what she did, but she had to do it. If she'd have just gone along with having Steve do it the week before, things would've been a lot better for her.

I think it's Johnny and Vanessa in the finals. I don't think either of them think they can beat Steve, so the only way Steve goes is if he earns the right to pick.

Someone please have the common sense to bring JMac onto the Muppets.

Dude needs a Muppet made after him...the crazy dentist and he does the voice.

I was so bummed that Vanessa got rid of him. I told my wife that I don't think I've ever been so vested in a reality contestant winning.

I still don't fully understand Vanessa's logic...Let's look at the votes BEFORE she chose to keep Liz

Shelly - Vanessa (as per her recognizing her game play in the jury house)

Jackie - NOT Steve as he put her out and I think she'll hold a grudge

Becky - No clue, but probably NOT Vanessa as she never liked her

Meg - NOT Vanessa as Vanessa put her and James up and got rid of her.

James - Probably aligned with Meg

Julia - Will vote for Liz if she's there

Austin - Will vote for Liz if she's there, NOT Vanessa.

And the 3 left...

John - Steve if he's there

Liz - ??? I don't think she likes Steve or John, so maybe Vanessa...and she could swing Julia.

Liz has a guaranteed 2 votes if she's in the finals. Her game play has been suspect at times, but she doesn't have as much blood on her hands. Steve likely would have a few votes for likeability. Taking Johnny to the finals would've been Vanessa's best option as it would've made her old alliance choose between the two people most responsible for getting them out. I have no clue why she got rid of him.

JMac would've taken out Vanessa. He even said so in his interview. Her chances of going to the F2 increases with both Liz and Steve. I think they'll both choose to take Vanessa. And, she has a better chance of beating Steve since Liz already has two votes.

That's what I think and I also think Liz votes for Vanessa to win unless Austin convinces her otherwise. Julia probably follows Liz's vote. Austin may too once he realizes he's just being bitter.

I think you guys are overplaying the spite angle in the jury votes. once they caucus they will realize that Van deserves to win and they will give it to her.

I think she wins against anybody. Liz is risky as she would need 5 of the 7 votes. But she was miles better than Liz and would be very convincing when explaining why.

I think you will always have a few who stay bitter no matter what.Last year Donny and Jocasta voted against Derrick and ruined otherwise what was a perfect game by him.

Austin clearly looks to be that guy and he could drag Julia and Liz right along with him.Still doesn't mean Van would lose but it would taint what was an otherwise impressive season no matter what you think of her tactics.

Ask Dan what having a bitter jury did for his chances the season Ian won.

Agreed.

Vanessa's played a great game, I haven't always liked her tactics (crying) but she's put quite a spell on the twins.

BTW maybe not as impressive as Derrick never seeing the block (except at the final 3 I guess), but Vanessa was only nominated for eviction once, this past week at Final 4. (She was also a veto replacement in week 7).

The 2 votes Liz has are anti-Van votes no matter what. Austin and Julia hate her now with good reason. Van should ignore those 2 being locks for Liz because I assume they're also locks for Steve. Steve, however, votes Van even if she boots him. Liz in jury is another Austin/Julia vote. I think she wins over Liz. If she goes with Steve, I don't know.

Steve was HOH that put the twins up and Julia out so I don't think those votes go to Steve at all.

This is the same way I saw it. Usually, once someone gets the boot, they see the big picture and can appreciate who was the best manipulator and respects that. Sometimes, 2 or 3 people stay bitter and won't vote for someone out of principle. Sometimes, it's more than 3 people (Dan's season - he still should've won. maybe I'm the bitter person?). Anyway, Vanessa should beat Steve or Liz and it shouldn't be close. In fact, once she got top 5, I think she had all the votes, it was just a matter of getting final 2 which is why she got rid of Austin and JMac.

Austin would not have tine to talk to Liz. Next person out of the house has to vote right away for a winner.

Having not read spoilers, what was the rub with Steve not liking Becky? I never saw it from Becky's side and it looked like once he saw her vote he knew he was good. But along the way there were a couple of DR takes where Steve acted like he hated Becky.

Becky was getting tight with Jason and they both seemed to make fun of him when he walked in on one of their conversations and Becky basically laughed at Steve and I think it hurt his feelings and from that point on she was a target of his.

What was confusing for me was the "confession" that Vanessa was a poker player.Having watched the feeds I could have sworn she told this to quite a few but maybe I'm wrong here.

So now that the season is almost over. Any interesting live feed stuff that was missed that should be known?
Nothing really comes to mind, but I kinda fell out of the live feeds towards the end so I'm not sure.

IMO Van played the best game, Steve the 2nd best, and Liz winning would have tarnished the show for me. It was Van and Steve, and all the others were just along for the ride. It looked like that translated to the TV show from the few episodes I watched.

Glad James won favorite, he was great entertainment for the feeds.

No, that was known early on by at least Austin (the week Jeff was evicted). Or maybe only Austin/twins knew throughout the season? I don't think they knew she won millions playing poker though.

I could have sworn that Day(the poker dealer) told Jason and Meg about it as well.I clearly remember Van telling Austin and Liz about it though but agree she didn't go into detail as to how good she was.Funny thing was they didn't even bother to find out.

See, I never saw this...I didn't think anyone knew. At least not as per the live shows. I don't watch the feeds or after-dark. Somebody said earlier that they knew, but it was news to me.

So honestly, I'm happy Steve won over Liz...IMO the twins had NO game. They had numbers, and for whatever reason, nobody targeted them early enough. That's the only reason they were there. They were both generally very weak players IMO. Listening to whatever Vanessa told them to do, and riding Austin's coat tails. Horrible players. It'd have been a shame if Liz won.

That said, I didn't really respect Steve's game much either. I think he came across as having better game than he actually did because they always showed him "thinking" and being quirky and stuff, so people just assumed he had some grand strategy. I don't think he really did. He had a plan, but it was a loose one. He too often relied on throwing competitions that he didn't want to win...which is fine, but anybody can throw a comp. He one his key HOH over Johnny on a math error. He didn't want to win the one where he got Jackie out. He really didn't do much right except ride the path of least resistance.

On a pure game-play standpoint, Vanessa deserved it by far. I think Austin and Johnny played very different games, but both also were pretty good. Johnny clearly had a very unorthodox strategy. He very clearly was a "go with the flow" guy who often put himself in jeopardy to advance. I've never seen someone with no clear alliances volunteer to be a pawn so many times and NOT get sent home. He took an odd route to the end, but I think he made more conscious decisions than Steve.

Vanessa deserved to win, but I'm glad she didn't.
Exactly.
I would have liked to have seen Vanessa win. I think she was the best. I am glad Steve won over Liz.

When the jury was speaking and the final two had to speak, I think Steve is the most nervous and awkward final two contestant I have ever seen during that moment of the show.
I think he was the most nervous and awkward contestant at every moment of the show. He made me jittery just watching him.

Vanessa deserved to win, but I'm glad she didn't.

I am glad that a superfan won, that's just cool.
I'm with you. Steve also deserved to win versus Liz. He was probably in the top 5 most deserving in the game this year. I think Austin played a better game than he gets credit for around here. In no particular order, my top 5 - Vanessa Steve Austin John James.

I'm really praying for an All-Stars season next year. The last 3 years have been meh even though a few quality players emerged.

I'm with the others here who are glad Steve won and that Vanessa was the best of the bunch and I'm really glad Steve didn't make that 450k mistake like Cody did last year.

The season started with promise and fizzled in the middle to then finally have a decent ending.

I'm not sure Steve can handle life after BB. He's going to wig out every where he goes. He seems like a good guy though. I thought he played great....lay low until you cant, then make a move.

By BB definition....does Steve go down as a Floater?

spot on imo....he wasn't even on the show the first 6 weeks or so and he was just a number for the people really running the house the second half. Both him and liz make terrible winners. I am with whoever said I hope they do an all stars next year, last two summers have been pretty bad.

Didn't help he had to start over with one of his answers 15 times.

Agree...He was totally a number. His "strategy" was really just to make a decision when he absolutely had to, and hope for the best at all other times. With that said, I guess that still trumps Liz, who just did whatever Vanessa wanted...

He flaps his little arms around so much when he talks that I half-expected him to fly.

I was a big fan of Steve's, he's the first player in 3 seasons that I really got behind and hoped would win. My brother's a lot like him so it was just personal bias. (And I relate to the Superfans in general better because I'm also a live feeder).

That said, I can't really argue anything being said about him. His social game was so bad it made him a target. His awareness was so bad that he thought he had a F2 with Vanessa the whole way. He was kinda a competition beast (4 HOHs ties Van and the all-time record), and he knew BB strategy like the back of his hand, and that's all he really had going for himself. Execution was terrible.

I agree that Austin had game, I liked the duo of he and Van early on, they could have run this house all season long. Then he threw it all out for love and stopped thinking for himself and probably threw away a great shot at 500k. Hope Liz is worth that to him

We thoroughly discussed this last night on Clash of Clans. Would have been something you found interesting I think.
