***Official Big Brother 18 Thread*** No Spoilers (1 Viewer)

Not a spoiler here but watching/skimming through BBAD this year it seems like all these people do is talk game this season, way way more than previous BBAD seasons. Should get more interesting as the season goes on I'm thinking.

I'm kind of impressed with what Paul (Beard) has done these past couple of weeks.  I've seen a lot of guys in his position self-destruct, but he's kept it together and now kind of seems like he's actually building some momentum in his game.  At the very least he seems to have that "aww come on, he's a nice guy why put him up on the block, he's not a threat" kind of aura that James has.

Yeah, he was in a tailspin with Jose and Victor, but pulled out of it nicely. He's playing the Dr. Will game nicely right now.

The Bearded One has definitely grown on me

Glenn has to be one of the most incompetent competitors ever in BB history

Jozea has to be one of the most annoying

Happy Vic won the BB Battle back. Was kind of hoping for Tiffany just because that would cause the most chaos

I'm not sure why CBS feels the need to put one or two significantly older players into the house each season (significantly older than the majority I should say).  They don't fit in at all socially or physically and never last long so why even bother?  Did Glenn think he'd get back into the house full of 20 somethings and just roll all the way to the final?  He spent a couple of days with them and then was knocked out.

Has a returning house guest, like Vic, ever won?  I've only watched the last few years.

I guess they always do it to try and shake things up by letting an evicted player back....but have they ever won?  They haven't really come close since I've been watching 3 or 4 years.

Evil **** was one of the older players and won it all in season 9.

They used to do it only every 3 or so seasons.  Now it's been every season for a few.  The returning people always reach jury, except once, but don't win.

With Frank on the block should make for an interesting week. I predict CBS somehow finds a way to keep him in the house. He is very good at competitions and couldeasily win POV. A backdoor might have been the better play this week. Everybody in the house wants him out and would have used the POV in order to get Frank up.

Expect the unexpected!

(I think Julie mentioned something about a "secret room" with a "secret power" so that will probably come into play)

I've always wondered what the move is when you're in Bridgette's position, where you've aligned (and are friends with) a house pariah.  It's probably easier to do when you're earlier in the game like the Beard has done, but later on it's got to be tough.  I've always thought the way to go would be "whew, now I can play my own game...that person was so restrictive to my game...

I hate Michelle on a personal level. I didn't think I could dislike a stranger as much as I dislike day, but Michelle is a contender. She's awful. We need a double eviction to take those 2 out.
On the other side there's Natalie. One of the nicest person to every play BB.

The thing is, he didn't get voted out.  His team stunk it up initially and he lost a knock out competition.  Then in a one on one against a younger guy he was eliminated again.

Poor guy never even got to play the social game.

Yeah, Glenn was already behind the 8 ball as the TOG (Token Old Guy), so he needed some breaks he just didn't get.

I'm an upper middle aged guy, and if I was planning on being on this show I'd spend a year getting in shape.  I'd want to come into that house like Rocky in the second Clubber Lang fight, looking and feeling my absolute best.  There's positively no way I'd show up in the shape Glenn was in.

The only people I like in the house this year are James and Natalie.  Frank is entertaining but it looks like he will be out this week.

Has Frank ever had a job where they gave sensitivity training?  The BB house is his de facto current workplace, and he does a lot of stuff in that house that should have been drilled out of him years ago.

Natalie is a keeper, surprised some guy hasn't put a ring on her finger yet. She's pretty native about BB but she is learning. If the catty mean girls don't get her voted out she could be force.

Seems not very bright to me.  And she constantly does cheerleader moves when excited.

She would be the first to admit she's not the smartest person. Hard to hide your true self when you are watched 24-7 but her parents should be proud of the daughter they have raised. She is the feed watchers favorite player along with James

Oh no doubt seems like a nice girl with nice cans...nice friend to have.  Wife?  Eh.

I know it's superficial, but James should lock that up if he gets the chance.  He's seriously outkicking his coverage with that one.
She's dumb as a box of hair.

And he'd spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder at all the man-candy that would be fawning over her forever.

A few episodes ago she said that he's exactly the type of guy she would date outside of the house.  I was shocked.

Paul flew under the radar as long as he could. Poor ******* just doesn't have it in him.

And Nat's fake boobs are just too darn big. Truth. Respect to James, though. Probably one of the 5 coolest dudes to ever be on this show.

I think James is cool. I don't think he would have a hard time finding a girl to like him. He isn't outkicking his coverage.

I think it was worthy of consideration in her shoes.  She might have been able to make it work too.
Not sure how she'd sell it to the rest of the house. She'd gain Frank but would lose everybody else. She's been laying low all year so far, what would the gain be by upsetting everybody else? I did have to chuckle last night when she said it's the toughest decision she's had to make all year. It's the ONLY decision she's had to make all year. The rest has just been going along with everybody else.

Regardless, I see Frank being saved by CBS this week with their secret room or whatever it is. I think he hinted at it last night.

But she has had a crush on Frank for soooooo long.  Since they never show her, it made the scene with Bridget really weird.  Having an agreement about a situation the CBS feeds never showed.

LOLz.  I said the exact thing while watching.

That's the problem with players like her.  Listen to the house for months, then get picked off at some point because you are a bloodless target, or skate to the end where you have little chance of winning over a power player.  Cool if you want 2nd place I guess.  Maybe she has some stuff working in her favor right now, but they haven't shown it on CBS.  The fact she did consider the move tells me she doesn't have many allies in the house.

Why can't Paul just shut up? Guy looked like a total moron when he tried calling out Frank. Hopefully once Frank is gone some of these people will actually start playing instead of just going along with what the house wants.

I got a good laugh at Paul when he was talking all tough in the kitchen about how he was going to cause a ruckus when Frank and Michelle were talking after the veto comp.He walks into the room and Frank tells him to leave because he is trying to work on getting the veto used and then just turns around and walks out.Really caused a huge ruckus there.

Frank also owned him when Paul tried to go after him a bit later.

That was so incredibly stupid.  Frank was clearly going home, just begging for his life and Paul flips out....likely making himself the next target.  What a moron.  And I had actually started liking Paul.

Frank is pretty cool under fire...he does a great job.  I hope this secret room can somehow save him.

The house would be a lot more boring with him gone . . . which is why I think CBS finds a way to keep him.

And Day should want to keep him . . . without him she's the next target.

A few things:

Am I the only one that gets annoyed that CBS has to give us a 3 minute recap at the start of each show?  I've watched the last week, I remember where we are.  Show me more house interaction with that time.

The sound effects (like during the cheer kicks) and flashy lighting (simulating a night club) are just annoying.  Seems CBS knows there's not enough substance and has to glam it up to keep people interested.  Not helping.

Just like on Survivor, I lose respect for players that whine when someone else plays the game.  Paul was growing on me, but acting hurt and insulted that a person on the block might actually try to play the game is stupid.  I really liked Frank being blunt about what he was trying to do.

I thought Frank handled that interaction with Paul very well.  I've seen a lot of players lose their poo when confronted that way in past seasons.

The sound effects are getting annoying.  The Da'Vonne hair whip sound was cute ONCE.
