***Official Big Brother 18 Thread*** No Spoilers (1 Viewer)

I got a good laugh at Paul when he was talking all tough in the kitchen about how he was going to cause a ruckus when Frank and Michelle were talking after the veto comp.He walks into the room and Frank tells him to leave because he is trying to work on getting the veto used and then just turns around and walks out.Really caused a huge ruckus there.

Frank also owned him when Paul tried to go after him a bit later.
Paul: "Hey BRO, did you just go and ask Michelle to play the veto on you??"

Frank: "Yeah, what did you expect me to do?"

Paul: **Mouth Open Stare**

Why can't Paul st shut up? Guy looked like.  a total moron when he tried calling out Frank. Hopefully once Frank is gone some of these people will actually start playing instead of just going along with what the house wants.
Paulie has waaaay too much power right now

I'm kind of impressed with what Paul (Beard) has done these past couple of weeks.  I've seen a lot of guys in his position self-destruct, but he's kept it together and now kind of seems like he's actually building some momentum in his game.  At the very least he seems to have that "aww come on, he's a nice guy why put him up on the block, he's not a threat" kind of aura that James has.
Cripes, he's making some bad moves this week.  Paulie, who by all measures should be a much bigger target, is laying low and playing the grounded kind of game that Paul should be playing.

A few things:

Am I the only one that gets annoyed that CBS has to give us a 3 minute recap at the start of each show?  I've watched the last week, I remember where we are.  Show me more house interaction with that time.

The sound effects (like during the cheer kicks) and flashy lighting (simulating a night club) are just annoying.  Seems CBS knows there's not enough substance and has to glam it up to keep people interested.  Not helping.

Just like on Survivor, I lose respect for players that whine when someone else plays the game.  Paul was growing on me, but acting hurt and insulted that a person on the block might actually try to play the game is stupid.  I really liked Frank being blunt about what he was trying to do.
I said the same thing to my wife last night about the recap.  Between the recap, having the HG explain how the POV works, having them explain how the POV ceremony works, etc.  They cut down a 40 minute show (minus commercials) to about a 25 minute show.

The house would be a lot more boring with him gone . . . which is why I think CBS finds a way to keep him.

And Day should want to keep him . . . without him she's the next target.
If finding the "secret room" saves someone, it's pretty much a guarantee that Frank finds the secret room.

That was so incredibly stupid.  Frank was clearly going home, just begging for his life and Paul flips out....likely making himself the next target.  What a moron.  And I had actually started liking Paul.

Frank is pretty cool under fire...he does a great job.  I hope this secret room can somehow save him.
:goodposting:

I still cannot stand Paul and his bobble head way of talking.

I can't stand Paulie and his gumbah hand gesturing while talking.

Davonne is so hard to take with her high pitch screech talk.

Michelle must have a hearing problem with the way she yell-talks.

Hate that James went back on his word.

Can't believe it but I like Frank.

Just rewatched season 2 with Dr. Will.

It's amazing how the show has changed.

You barely ever saw Julie.  The show was all about the interactions and scheming and arguments.  Comps were trash though.

Thank God that for the most part they've killed "WHO WANTS TO SEE MY HOH ROOOOOOOM"

They also never show anything about the have-nots anymore.  They used to have America vote on the one thing they could have instead of slop and also let us know who is a have-not.  They still have them but it is not part of the edited shows at all anymore.

I haven't seen who ended up winning the HOH but damn Paul is playing terrible these last few days.  The blow up with Frank, then after finding the secret room trying to play it off.  Lying to the entire house at one time is pretty ballsy.

The tickets will definitely shake things up one day....but overall it was kind of disappointing last night.

I like Victor coming back in and laying low.  He might end up being a pretty good player.  What he lacks socially he'll make up for in the comps.

Victor could be in trouble if he's close with Paul though if the house starts to get annoyed with Paul's antics.

Paul has officially gone back to being super idiot clown.

With Frank gone, I guess I'm rooting for James even though he's a ##### for putting up Frank and Bridgett.  Not many likable people in the house.  Really have only seen Bridgett interact with Frank, so it will be interesting to see what she does now, if CBS decides to show her ever again.  Don't have much intel on Michele and Zeykeiah either.

Secret room was B.S.  This season is going to slide inexorably to terrible-ness in a few weeks.
Agreed.  I don't see them revisiting that next season.

I think the "teams" and "road kill" twists they introduced this year are seen next year though.  Road kill might have been more interesting if everyone that won it could have shut up about it.  I think any player that comes in next season will use that a lot more wisely than this crew did.

Michelle's meltdown over wanting to shack up with Frank in the Jury house was fantastic.  Unfortunately it might be the hi-lite from the season.

I think that was Franks biggest mistake - why the hell was he going around telling everybody he won - just stupid.

Agreed and also way too many clueless players this season.Early on it has to be explained to Paul exactly what a backdoor was and all I could do was laugh.
Yeah. Day and Tiffany are/were the only girls there to play. Paulie is running circles around everyone

If he doesn't win, it'll be a travesty of Boston Rob Survivors All-Stars proportions.  He's had by far the best game in the house so far.

I thought he said he knew exactly what it was but wanted to play dumb so that people wouldn't think he's a stronger player.

The big group needs to get broken up somehow. James should have either done it or thrown the HOH. He's at the bottom of that alliance and in a showmance which gives everyone an easy excuse to put him up. He could have had a 4 person team with Frank/nat/bridge. It wouldn't have been hard to bring Michelle into that as a floater.* He wouldn't have even had to out that to the house right away. He made a deal to win HOH and victor returned. Put Vic up and if someone wins the veto, backdoor Paulie (or Da).

I've got probably another week of Da in me. Even in the bye message to Frank she goes out of the way to make it personal. I don't watch the feeds, but I can't see how she's not universally hated in the house. Maybe she's gotten an awful edit. Twice.

*theres a 100% chance Frank has sexual intercourse with her before Christmas.

Going to be hard to break up the bigger group. Only people who will target them are Day and Bridgett. Nat maybe but James will mess that up. The Americas care package could do it. After this weeks have not reward the next 3 could be used to change the game if given to the right players,.

My feelings exactly.

Lost a lot of respect for James this week because he punked out.

All he had to say was, I made a deaI...I can't put them up.

:goodposting: 's

What people like James seem to forget is that things change super quickly in that house.  When you're in there, it might seem completely opposite, perhaps.  The burden of the "house" is heavy, but you have to think beyond it and really wonder if what you will accomplish in your HOH is helping you in any way.  He did nothing but hope this HOH will let him lay in the weeds a little longer.

If he says he made a deal and he's sticking to it, anyone that bags on him will look like a fool.  By the time the next HOH comp comes around, SOOOO much will have changed.  Paul and Day likely would have had blowups if Frank was a nom.  Frank was getting under their skin even being a nom and looking calm doing so.  If James came out of this HOH reign as a main target, then he would have had to do alot of other things wrong over the course of the week than just sticking to his word.  As mentioned above, he could have used this HOH to weaken the house stranglehold and come away with a strong 5-6 person alliance.  Day even tipped him off about the showmances.  Bridg and Nat were already close.  Frank would still be the top target.  Wasted opp...we'll see if he can stay in long enough to make up for it.

That's what happens with so many couples. You can't get them both out at once and when you're in one yourself, hard to take a swing at one when there are better and easier targets.

I have no idea why Paul is so bent on getting rid of Bridgette as his HOH move.  She has no one in the game and isn't going anywhere.  At least if they do just take her out this week then the big group can't be the big group anymore, time to start splitting up.

Seems like this happens every year.  A HG is completely up for grabs and instead of lobbying for her vote they do the easy thing and vote her out.

Paul should rally Bridgette, James, Nat, Paulie and go after Nicole and Corey (or anyone)!  Make a move people.

Maybe Paul will come to his senses and backdoor Davonne this week.

Maybe it's just me but has there ever been a season where we've gone this far with so many players that aren't doing anything? Corey, Zakyiah, Michelle, Natalie. 4 of the remaining 11 are just useless. Victor really hasn't done anything other than get evicted and then won the Battle Back but really? Anybody could have beaten those hapless opponents. Bridgette really hasn't done much other then tag along with Frank. I don't get how Nicole is even around yet. She doesn't win anything but seems to whine and be the center of everything. Paul I'm not sure about. He seems to master being loud but other than this weeks HoH which was really about luck hasn't done anything. Da'Vonne always seems to be a target every week but very good at avoiding getting put up or evicted. James? He seems to lay low a lot and get away with it but has he really done anything other than listen to the others and kind of nod his head? The only one that I've been impressed with so far is Paulie.

Ugh...I can't stand that Paulie will probably win this thing because he's the only one even remotely trying to do anything...

Bearded Idiot is going after doe-eyes...why?  What the hell?

It's not like she'd come after you...she'd go after who put up Frank or worked to get him out.

I just don't understand his deal.

Hopefully there's a backdoor davonne coming but him asking for a pawn just bugged the crap out of me.

The house is just full of nothing...

I've gone back to watch BB7 All Stars...just so I can have something interesting to watch regarding Big Brother.

You can get pretty far in BB and Survivor just by being agreeable and laying low. Unfortunately, that makes for boring TV. And if a bunch of other people have the same strategy, they'll all have to start scrambling or grabbing a life vest sooner than expected.

Is it really good production, or are people like Davonne really that much in the dark about whats going on.

Have to appreciate Paul now...he is all in on this lie to Davonne. I like it.

Z and Michelle have a definite crazy side to them.  Hope it all plays out soon.

I can Paul and Paulie riding this thing out for a while.  They might be final 2.

Gotta say Paulie played that week about perfect. The guys look to be fully in charge at the moment.
Big week though.  Double eviction, the care package recipient gets to eliminate two votes and of course a possible roundtrip ticket back in for one of the evicted guests.  It should get interesting now.
