You forgot RothsteinVan Alden, Chalky, and Harrow are cool in larger doses but I don't need them on screen every minute. But I could watch a series built around Rothstein and Capone. Partly because of the actors, partly because they are Rothstein and Capone.

When Nucky was in the theater, Owen gave him the news from Rothstein: "four fatalities, non of the Gyp Rosetti"It seems the hit came from Rothstein but Nucky knew it was going down.

15 minutes each of Van Alden, Chalky, Harrow and Capone with a sprinkling of Rothstein would be a perfect show. The weird thing to me was that Owen had said he didn't like leaving the work to somebody else. Nucky responds that it helps with deniablity. But then it's part of Rothstein's crew, through Lucky, that does the work. So it isn't really unconnected to any of them.

I don't remember the agreement, I watched the scene again and still don't see it but they had to agree at some point for the hit to be attempted. That was a very heated scene though!

No it was the two guys that saw Eli in the road and one reminded the other that Mickey said not to stop for anyone. It was some old man (I actually rewind it and paused it cause I thought it was Mickey too) but you would think he would have been with them to make sure it got to Rothstein.

No, when Eli was trying to convince Mickey to call it off they made it a point of having Mickey say "I'm not going...they are". Unless I missed something, he didn't make the trip.

Two gripes from this last episode, does anyone really care about the hospital clinic stuff, the amount of time spent there when we could be seeing Capone instead is driving me nuts.
For someone as meticulous as rothstein, how did they not make sure paperboy was not working that night? If the kid comes a minute before Bugsy, the mission is compromised. He just so happened to stroll in a minute later...also the two guards who heard the shooting came running in like blind zombies, they could have made that part a little more realistic. Overall great episode though

I think the Margaret storyline is interesting, particularly from a historical perspective.
The attempted hit on Gyp makes a lot of sense, but given the combined power of all the aggrieved parties, why not just simply wipe the guy off the map with a small army? They're all staying in one motel, no? Come in the middle of the night, surround the place, light it on fire, shoot anyone who comes out.

Real question here, i understand corruption was very common back in the 20's but was it really this easy to murder this many people without the feds getting involved?
Gyp has a cop burnt alive and 12 deaths a day later and not a speck of anyone coming in to investigate

I'm a couple back on the DVR (will be all caught up this weekend) but I thought the scenes with Al and his kid were very touching and added a nice touch to the show.
