***Official CFB NCG Thread: Ohio wins; Joe T shamed once again*** (4 Viewers)

Kelly is a freaking moron. Zaire is playing more than ok and you pull him for the turnover machine right as LSU takes the momentum? This is why he should be let go.
Pining for the Ty Willingham years?
Worst coach in a series of stupid decisions. Firing Kelly doesn't have to be a return to stupidity. See Michigan earlier today for a storied program removing its heads from its backsides.
Wouldn't that be the George O'Leary hiring/firing?

So glad I don't work downtown. Traffic is always awful, as Nashville has one of the most convoluted Interstate designs ever conceived. Out of towners just add to the chaos.

Went home at noon because of the game. It was funny watching all the ND/LSU fans try to pull into our parking lot only to be chased away. 40 was completely stopped on my way home. Bet people sat in traffic for an hour

Nope. O'Leary would have been a solid hire had he coached for ND. I don't think they'd have ever won a title with him, but could have been consistently a 9-4,10-3 type of program rather than the roller coasters they've had since.

Willingham did far more damage in actually coaching the team than O'Leary ever did. Remember Willingham's OL recruiting that started the crippling of the Weis era?

good call
agree...may have been in but not enough in replay to overturn call on field
What? Couldn't have been more clear. Half the ball crossed the line, then he tucked it back in.
You could see if his knee wasn't down when it crossed the line?
He was practically standing up. No way his knee was down
Probably wasn't. Unfortunately it couldn't be seen on the replay. Call has to stand.

Yes. From the end zone shot, his knee doesn't touch until the ball is being pulled back. Which pretty simply tells you that when the ball crossed (and it CLEARLY did), that his knee wasn't down. A third grader could deduce as much.

What a joke.

If it would have been ruled a TD on the field, it would have been a TD. But it wasn't, and there was no conclusive angle to prove his knee wasn't down as the ball crossed the plane.

It's not the Zapruder film...they don't piece the replays together. The goal line angle is the only one that matters on that play.

Other sports are able to sync different camera angles down to the frame, why doesn't this happen in football?

He was almost completely upright when the ball crossed. Unless his kneecaps sag down like an old lady's ####, it would be physically impossible for his knee to be down.

Yes from the other angle. Knee was still up when the ball hit the ground. From the 2nd angle you could see the ball crossed the line before it hit the ground.

Nice job Kelly. QB rotisserie kills momentum and here comes LSU.

Here's the next prediction: ND, now down 7, hardly runs anymore. Jelly goes into panic mode and passes all over the place.

Wow. Just wow.

Kelly playing roulette with QBs all day and still finds a way to pull one out of his backside. Kudos to Zaire and great way to see Brindza get to end his career with a game winner.

Go Irish!

@slmandel: I believe that's Notre Dame's first bowl win over a ranked team since the 1994 Cotton Bowl vs. A&M.
