***OFFICIAL CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS PLAYOFF THREAD*** (2 Viewers)

My neighborhood is nuts right now. Fireworks. Horns. Sirens. Shouts. Helicopters.

Way to go, Blackhawks. Great season. Great playoffs. Champions.

AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING!!!! I'd like to thank the Conn Smythe people for there selection as well. How infncredible was that finish!!!!!!

What a year....amazing playoff run. Amazing way to win the Cup.
Your tweets throughout the season were entertaining. Especially during the playoffs. I was always worried you were on the verge of jumping off a bridge or something.
On the verge of a stroke or heart attack is more like it. I have to vent somewhere.

ETA I didn't tweet much during the season since I hadn't to start the season and then winning streak happened so I didn't want to jinx anything.

Congrats to all the Blackhawks fans. For those who don't hang in the NHL threads, I'll repeat what I wrote there earlier tonight ... I just have a ton of respect for your team. The 'Hawks and B's are two similar franchises that went through terrible stretches and have bounced back to become the elite of the league. There isn't really a player on your team that I don't enjoy watching play.

You were the best team in the NHL from beginning to end, and a very deserving champion. There is no shame for my Bruins in losing to you, even though the ending stings.

Enjoy the Stanley Cup! :banned:

Great series now that it's over and you look back. 3 OT games one with 3 OTs all 5 out of the 6 were one goal games. Claude's presser was total class as was Bergeron's. Lot of respect for the Bruins and their fans, except a few on Twitter who were wishing plane crashes and death on the Hawks. Lot of classy Bruin fans on this board as well

I still can't believe this what an experience to have with my 9 and 7 YO sons. Awesome.

The anti-climatic tone of the 2010 championship.....

Everyone looking around wondering what the hell Kane was going nuts for. The goal light didn't even go off. While that is still a great moment, and a culmination of something that I at times I feared I'd never witness, it always lacked something to me.

Last night made up for that more than I could have ever imagined. What a finish. Easily my favorite championship deciding game

That will be the best part ... you will always be able to cherish that.

It's the one thing I missed out on two years ago ... that my dad was no longer around to enjoy it with me. He got to see 1970 and '72, and my brothers were always big B's fans back in the day -- we lived 10 minutes from where the team had training camp. But I was only 4 in 1972.

Congrats to all the Black Hawks fans. Great season, and fought hard in the playoffs. First time in five years the President's Cup winner got it done when it counted.

I was working downtown when the Red Wings broke the 42 year drought. Lot of pain in the years leading up to that, and we didn't really enjoy that long because Konstantinov's accident came six days later. The back to back title was in some ways more exhilarating. It's been an embarrassment of riches since.

I hate the Black Hawks and despise most of their fans (FBGs being the exception, natch), but I have to say I admire the way they play. Kane is easily my favorite guy on the team and I was glad he won the Conn Smythe.

Hope to see in the Finals next year. And hoping that young, exasperating team moving to the Eastern Conference next season is waiting there for you.

Ditto - what a series! One reporter said if these teams played 100 games each team would win 50. I'm don't think that is far from the truth.

Bruins are a great team.

should have just taken the 290 and saved everybody the trouble.

EDIT: was this a security issue driven by the marathon bombers?

I think so.
Yeah. It was pretty severe this year. I live in the Lakeshore East area and wondered why it was all the way up there but it may have been since the Hawks are partying in the Hyatt Regency. The "parade" was ultra quick. The rally was pretty cool with Shaw, Kane, Crawford, and Keith at the end.

So now what party/bar/concert does the Cup show up to tonight.

thanks hawks fans for coming in from the burbs, acting like complete jackholes, yelling at homeless people and littering the sidewalks with trash.

great job!!!!

I'm sure it will be at Buffet tomorrow night. I'd imagine a Sox game appearance tonight.

Just to rub it in a little.
