Agreed. He was the key to the whole trade.Not Jackson, who has been solid this year.

Not Dotel, who's also been solid this year.

Not Rzepchenski, who has upside as either a starter or reliver.

Yep, you nailed it right on the head. A journeyman former prospect was the key. Ignore the others. That's the ticket.

Oh, and let's update how Rasmus did today:

0-4. Total since joining Toronto: 0-12, 5 K's. LEGENDARY

Great posting!! That is not the first time I heard that comment about the trade.

If Rasmus ends up a great player, which I doubt, it will end up being a bad trade. If the Cards make the playoffs and make some noise this year, it will be worth the trade, in my opinion.
