You just spent 6 hours online arguing your postition, BTW. Do you know how much all of us get paid for doing that?
And that's why I'm talking to you guys, you don't talk to people less successful than you for good advice. You talk to the people who have been there, done that.
...AND ignore them...

Exactly. Can we get a list of people who have posted in all of his threads who's advice he's taken and been thankful for?

How big a pay raise is the Shift leader position? How much more work is it? Would you get benefits?

Walgreens isn't exactly a career company, they underpay and overwork their employees from what I hear. Might be time to move on.
I'm guessing around $10.00 an hour. It's much, much less work. It requires you to tell goons like me what to do all day.
what experience, other than your three months in your current role, do you have that makes you qualified to lead a team? This has to be :fishing: by the way.
I was Junior and Senior Class President in High School and owned and operated my own LLC for 9 months.
Yeah but were you ever voted Best Boy?

He'll be back. Maybe not in this thread. But he'll be back. And that new thread will be just as funny as this one.

Is there anyway we can get the mods to email Eminence and let him know we miss him?
Does this board even have mods anymore? I feel like they used to be every where. Also, where the hell are Joe and David?

On a scale of Juan to Adolf?

If I may quote one of the greatest movies of all time (Gung-Ho): "I rike you. You make me raugh."
+1

Michael Keaton really cornered the automotive industry comedy market... Gung Ho, Mr. Mom...Cars

Wasn't Mr. Mom about advertising and tuna fish?

That was his wife (dream milf in the 80's) Terri Garr... He was an auto designer who got laid off, along with Larry and Stan. She went back into advertising to support the family....

Ahhh.... Terri Garr. Many happy memories.
I will not ruin your memories by posting a current pic from IMDB... like I ruined mine by going there...

Remember her from Young Frankenstein forever...

Fruit of the Loom got a lot of business from me. At least, magazines running their ads did.

Blocked. Would love it if someone cut paste the hilarity.
So this email is currently going viral among the #financebros of New York. The common reaction seems to be, "Hey, maybe don't act this way with a college recruiter?" And it comes to us after dozens of forwards.

Here's the background: A UW-Milwaukee student is currently looking for employment in the accounting industry. He recently met a female recruiter at a career night and later sent her an email, asking for job advice.

He makes several interesting decisions in the email. He talks about possibly having a cold sore. A cold sore! And he... actually, you know what? Just read the second paragraph. It's tremendous.

Subject: Question
Hey REDACTED,
We talked a couple weeks back at the UW-Milwaukee accounting night. (I was the one looking for equity research positions and had a zit on my lip that could have passed for a cold sore. Lol. Whew. It was not. You're probably like, "uh.. What?" Maybe that helps you recall, maybe not. Not completely important, I suppose.
Anyways, if you have a chance here is my question: (background first) I interviewed with BDO and Baker Tilly today, two firms that seem like good places to work, I believe they don't kill you like a big 4. Tomorrow I have an interview with Deloitte
:o somewhere I thought I've always wanted to work. Obviously I don't have an offer so this is all hypothetical thinking, but if I get the job, the reality of the situation is that I'm getting old. 25. I know you can't force love and I know it just comes when you're not looking, but would working for a big four completely squash any possibilities for potential relationships if one came along? Is working for a big four a potential career - love trade off? I mean, I like money(as do most females) but love is...great
:) What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

No word yet if Deloitte has called back.

UPDATE: I feel the need to clarify: The names are redacted and I know this comes as a surprise: But the email was written by a guy.
