*** Official Detroit Tigers Bandwagon *** (1 Viewer)

Do the Tigers play anyone good anytime soon? :P
Looking through their schedule it appears that there is going to be a stretch in August that should give a pretty good indication of whether or not they are going to make the playoffs...@Chicago, @Boston, Texas, Chicago, @Cleveland, @ NYY
I like that as a White Sox fan you seem pretty worried since you spend much of your day over here.
:lmao:
I knew it.

Franchise record eight homers. Plus at one point yesterday Tiger fans and Cubs fans were both making noise and the Tiger fans were louder. Nothing like traveling to Chicago with a good team. This is fun.

I hope the Tiger & chisox make it, that way, boston or NY misses.
I'm not saying anything about the Tigers making anything until mid August. The lesser of evils among the Blight Sux0r, the Dead Sux0r, and the Yankees is negligible.

Real Cub fans were happy the Tigers swept.

I'm also sitting on a Tigers to win division at 20/1 and win WS at 120/1

GO TIGERS.

The Tigers have padded their win total by dominating the Royals and Twins. Nice job on the Flubbies this weekend to.

Hell's comin' to breakfast when they play the elite teams. How have they done against the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox this year? Not too well.

Yes, we all saw how the Sox dominated the Tigers in their last 3 game series less than 2 weeks ago  :sarcasm:

Actually, the Tigers just made it through that stretch of playing the Red Sox, Yankees, White Sox still in 1st place - don't get me wrong, they got beat up in those games vs. the elite of the AL, but they're still in 1st place while the White Sox still have yet to play Boston or NY.

Of course, I don't really expect the White Sox to fall on their face given that I believe that they are the best team in MLB.

:lmao: at "padded". Hey when you've got the most wins in baseball, they've got to come against someone.

I'll say it again... they win the games they're supposed to.

Doing that could probably get them into the playoffs...especially with the Yankees not as strong, and the AL East being more competitive.

I think the White Sox have lost to the Royals a few times this year. Oh, and they lost to the Cubs too.
White Sox lost 2 of 3 at KC early in the season....Even last season, playing at KC seems to cause problems for them. No explanation why, just a weird thing.Cubs/Sox are always close games no matter the record....

Which Tiger fan was saying they would like to see the sux0r make the playoffs so the other sux0r or the Yankees wouldn't?

Very true. The AL Central is really turning into a pretty good division minus the Royals of course. The Twinkies are really starting to come together with both Liriano and Santana in their starting rotation, they should start to become a contender in the next few years.

That's what sucks. Twins are catching fire now and I know the Tribe are going to go on a run with their offense. Just hope the Tigers get them on a down slope.

I just noticed that the Tribe is 31-37  WTF happened to them?

Bullpen and pitching in general. Just bad.

White Sox 5-1 against the Tigers

Detroit Tigers 1-5 against the White Sox

What more explanation is required.

That winning percentage is called 'domination'.

I'll spare green94 my detailed analysis of the last head to head series. But in answer to your post, if you want to just look at the objective W-L numbers, yes, you have dominated us. But to keep things consistent we're the best team in baseball according to those same objective W-L numbers so :P .

I think Detroit is having one of those seasons like the White Sox last year. Everything is going their way this year, (besides the closer) and they are playing great ball. I'd be worried about the youth of the team.

The other thing is that the White Sox are only 1.5 games out and anyone that has watched them play this year knows they haven't played their best yet. If and when that happens, they will blow by Detroit and maybe kill that psychy for the Tigers.

Either way, these two teams are part of the elite teams in Baseball right now and add to the excitement of a division race that could very well end with both teams winning over 100 games this year. Pretty awesome if you ask me.....

I just hope they both make the playoffs so the Yanks or BoSox get to sit at home. :) I don't buy that 'the Tigers will fade' BS either.... everybody said that about the White Sox last year too, and they spent the entire season in first place.

:goodposting: It's nice to be a Tiger fan now. Too bad I couldn't catch either of the series in Chicago. I do see a few Tigers fans around here though.

Going to see Tigers at home against the Yankees on August 21st. Should be good. First tiger game I have seen since about 1986.

you forgot the D-rays, Blue Jays, Mariners, Reds, Indians, and Rangers. You Chisox fans are great, one world series win in 80 years and your in a Tigers thread, pissing.

can't we just enjoy our teams one winning year in 20.

Oh yeah, besides, ChiSox,BoSox, NYY, NYM, STL, the rest of baseball suxor so the wins shouldn't count.

Hey,I'm a Tiger fan myself and a fan of Jeremy Piven(PCU is a great flic)and what he did at that game pales in comparison to alot of the dolts they have sing.......Ozzie comes to mind immediately. I somehow doubt that Harry Carrey rolled over in his grave over this.

More importantly.....a 1,2,3 ninth for Todd Jones...are you kidding me or what?!

Bless you boys!!!!

5 Starters in a row with a win.

Let's see if the streak continues tonight.

They've got a pretty solid chance tonight. Miner goes up against Helling, a guy just coming off the DL w/ 3 innings pitched on the season.
